The 1st version she sang of abc is a gospel version or her preferred way of singing. The 2nd version is a more commercial way of singing, and it crosses over to different ethnic boarders and listeners. That's the underlining meaning to what Neyo was trying to say. Keeping it simple means more because it will appeal to different groups of people. Subsequently, she will sell more records and gain acceptance across the board!

Thank god for Neyo!!! This is what I have been saying about Chrisette since she came out. I said she tries to hard I can't hear her voice. I feel like on Ephiphany it is the first time I was able to really just LISTEN to HER, her REAL voice. Not an imitation of Ms. Billie Holiday. I am loving the new Chrisette!!!!!!

wow....i didnt know this was song penned by neyo..thats probably why it sounds better than her other stuff. She can sing, but i agree with an earlier comment, that she gets boring at times, and with what she and Neyo said too: she gets carried away with the damn jazz riffs. Now that i have heard her sing the alphabet like that i think she may be a little crazy, which is hot...in a strange way! Neyo really can write some sings from a female perspective..hmmm
