love this song. but, english is not my first language, and i can't figure out the meaning of 'cynthia', since the song is written for a lady with a different name. i suppose, it could be the moon.

It is indeed the moon - in Lowlands Scots not English which was Burns preferred language

I like your version better than Karen Matheson's creamy version, because you put in the lilt (syncopation) that the song needs ... and you do it perfectly.
If possible, get the mic closer to your voice rather than the guitar next time.
