Thank you for your fast reply could you PLEASE take a picture of the under carriage of your airwolf and inside of it if possible. I just want to see how you positioned it and mount it.
@fcolon1976 Unfortunately, it has been de-comissioned. A new, larger one is under construction, with the goal of making everything work. you can see it at dennisrc.com/EnterAirwolf.htm
Just a question: i have ordered a T-REX 600, and i am a newbie in RC helis world. What is the best for me to reduce crash risk: The Align flybarless system or a helicomand 3A?
The Align flybarless electronics will not do anything more than replace the flybar. To get flybarless stabilization, with attitude and positioning stabilization, you need the Helicommand RIGID. You can get the flybarless heads without electronics from Helidirect or Readyheli, or build the darn thing from Align spare parts! That way, you do not have to buy Align's electronics, and can put that money towards Helicommand.
@Moumou727 Definitely a Helicommand, Align 3G only replaces the flybar, it does not add attitude stability. (I tried to over-adjust an Align 3G hoping to get a "poor man's helicommand" - NO DICE.
Please dont take offence I didnt mean anything. Ive been flying helis for a year now and have just got to the point of stall turns and now confident with nose in hover so Im fully aware of how hard and fragile these beasts are. I fly a trex 450 se v2 And maybe in the future I will put an Airwolf body on it. Hows your flying without helicomand as a backup.
None taken, I fly a 450 as well, and am just learning to fly inverted... about half the time I crash and burn.
Without HC, I am just fair but it made learning a whole lot easier and fun. Throw a switch, and you are on your own, flick it back and it will hover by itself while you get rid of that pesky fly or light a cig.
Sure, but when you are flying a $5K scale heli, why take chances? I am working on a 6.5 foot long N4 Dauphin now, and you KNOW it will have a Helicommand!
No, it is the HeliCommand RIGID, the 3A and 3D perform exactly the same in hover, I used the RIGID so I can later upgrade to a flybarless or multi-bladed head.
Fricken hilarious with the no hands Dennis!! Can't wait to see it.

Looks cool but if you took the helicomand off could you still fly it .
