    I weighed about maybe 80 pounds when i was younger up about to 6th grade and i was told i needed to gain weight.

    Well I finally did and I GAINED TOO MUCH.

    and now I want to DROPITALLOFF.

    The only way I can figure out to is to jus not eat. and that I can do cos I used to do that. I had a fear of getting big.

  • the point is you eat alot. Its your metabolism. right now your running high. dont switch your diet to eat more or different types of food. just eat the right food and normal portions. That should make your metabolism come back down.

    bottom line, our bodies are very good at regulating itself given that you are on a normal diet.

  • Eat a lot of pasta!!! Eat some candy!! haha Maybe you just have a really fast metabolism..My husband weighs 133 and hes 6'1 and hes eats A LOT of food. So ...He has a really fast metabolism..Your beautiful hun!! But yeah pasta is a great way to gain more weight. Eat a lot of protein as well.

  • I'm having a problem gaining weight too. I'm 5' 2" and I've always weighed around 100, and I just recently had a surgery and lost five or six pounds.. Now I'm at about 95. I don't LOOK unhealthy at all, but I would like to gain some weight too.

  • I'm in the same situation as you, I eat lots but do not gain weight. Whatever you do, Do NOT eat fast food as a method to gain weight as you may upset your skin health and may cause you to get spots, acne etc.

    Try increasing the amount of meals you have a day from three to six. And don't move around too much. Bye x

  • Okay, honestly you are not unhealthy looking. You don't need to worry about gaining weight, you look good as you are. When you are old your metabolism will slow down, gain weight then. Trust me you are not too skinny... at all. Not even close.

  • Hey Becca! My sister struggled with bulimia and anorexia for ten years and watching her go through that has really increased my knowledge of weight issues.

    What you should do is write down everything you eat in a day and count how many calories you consume in a day. It should be between 2000 and 2500 calories, depending on how much you work out. I really would recommend talking to a doctor if you are concerned and perhaps a therapist if there is something else going on. 100 lbs is not healthy!

  • Try and eat as much red meat as you can, it sounds like you have a super fast metabolism. Eat a lot of protein (red meat) and carbs (pasta, white bread etc). You dont have to eat junk. :)

  • Want to add: I recently saw vid of 800 lb man that was eating 33,000 calories a day, and was suffering from malnutrition!!!! Go figure. Dr said it was because of his food choices. (search overweight)

  • I had problems too,dr never put a name to it,but helped. Hyperactive thyroid can cause wt loss too. Other medical conditions - If u eat same as before, You ARE NOT ANNOREXIC!! Would love to say more but... Hope U get help.

  • ok, you probably shouldn't try the grilled cheeses and milkshakes...there's no reason to compromise your health to gain weight. try brown rice. more whole grain bread. keep the glycemic index low, and try eating several meals (more than 3) per day. lots of carbs and even beans for protein. meat will just make you sluggish...avoid too much of it.

    People who are on low or no dairy diets are heavier on average.

    Cutting out dairy/Calcium slows your metabolism down by about 12%.

    I read of someone who cut out dairy, and she gained around 25 lbs.

    Also, artificial sweeteners slow down your metabolism. I think they slow it down by 7-10%.

  • Interesting... i have the same problem as her, and i got in my head that being as skinny as an anorexic might mean that i have brittle bones like them to, so i began drinking a lot of milk... but is it really safe to cut out dairy? i mean i kinda need it sense ima growing teenager... and it's the only thing they serve in the lunch line *sigh*

  • I have a friend with the same problem. He's 16 and weighs about 115 though. But, he's still like really thin and basically nothing but bones and a tiny bit of flesh. I'm not exactly sure how you could gain weight... He's been trying but nothing seems to work. I'd say... Well, I don't know. Just pray about it!

  • It might be something hormonal. I don't know if any kind of pills would effect weight in that way. Maybe you need to eat something like jordan rubins diet, (the makers diet). more unlikely it could be a tapeworm or something. you autta see a doctor, even if its under the guise of a yearly-check up.

  • You said that you eat a lot, but what kinds of food do you eat? Do you eat healthfully or do you eat junk food? Like some other's have said, try eating a lot more protein and carbohydrates (Whole-grain pastas or breads) and it may help you put on some weight.

  • I'm not a doctor, but the last time I needed to gain weight, my doctor told me to drink a protein shake like "boost" right before I go to bed....it didn't take too long until I was at the weight I wanted to be...hope this helps

  • Honey if your weight goes under 100lbs go see a doctor, but most likely you have a high metabolism, plus your tall and sometimes believe it or not when you are under a lot of stress that sometimes for some strange reason boost your metabolism. So it could just be stress.I hope you gain weight soon, and if you are under a lot of stress , I hope your stress goes away.

  • You're not a slut for showing your tummy! haha I am not equipped to advise you on this subject. How tall are you? What's your BMI? Maybe you should have your thyroid checked. My only other thought is that I hear the McDonald's Supersize Me "diet" could be effective for this issue!
