I dont understand why but with this video card im getting 5 fps on low settings on WoW...

specs are:

ati radeon 4670 hd

single core 3.3 ghz processor

3 gb of ram

shouldnt it be performing better? When i open the catalyst control center it shows the "activity" circle thing under the performance tab at 0% im not sure if thats the video card or the fan or what but i think i might be doing something wrong here? i mean its just world of warcraft it should be running alot better?

Don't ask if you can run this game.

It literally takes onboard graphics and a dual core to max this game out. It's pretty sad.

@Samp155 yes.. on very high voltages and a non-standard cooler.

I have a 245, oc'd to 3.25Ghz without voltage increase on stock cooling, runs great. when I go to 3.5Ghz I will have to increase voltages by 50-100mv, which is too much really. going over 1.5 volts is foolish.

DDR3 is faster, you have to have a board that accepts DDR3, so don't go and try to swap out your DDR2 with DDR3 memory!!

@amindumaru you could pick up a better gpu for that system, its a great card nevertheless. I suggest an AMD Radeon (yeah, no longer ATI here) HD 6870, awesome card, and not very expensive. about 230 dollars, or you could go with the 6850, which comes in around 180

when i try to record with fraps on a game a usually get 60FPS on... Fraps makes my FPS go from 40FPS to 0FPS with choppy lag... and makes the game completely UNPLAYABLE... dosent matter if i turn the graphics down either

yh, processor is a fail. Processor fail = frame rate fail. A good processor paired with your graphics processor should give you a great frame rate (no jitteriness)

ive got i5, 4gb, hd 4870 1gb (256-bit instead of you 128-bit, but dx 10.1 instead of your dx 11) and i can run it full settings + 4AA @ 1600x900 no problem.

different in COD:WAW. i can run it full settings but 2AA only with no OC on graphic card.

OC got preatty much better but watch out for the heat!

yes, you can!. i got hd 4870 1GB and i can run it full graphic on 4AA.

main differences between:

HD 4870 --> 256-bit / dx 10.1

HD 5870 --> 128-bit / dx11

in COD:WAW i can run it full graphics, but only 2AA when not OC.

OC goes preatty good but watch the heat!

This game isn't very demanding with pc though.

I'm 95% possitive you WON'T cos even though I havent tried those specs the whole reason why Im getting a new PC on Saturday is because this one that has:

1GB RAM

Vista 32-Bit

Intel Core 2 Duo (Better than urs)

ATI Radeon 2400 HD (Pretty good GFX card)

Those specs which are overall better than yours can BARELY run Borderlands on the lowest possible graphics, and thats with GameBooster and only 5 programs intalled on the PC (Formatted to Factory Settings 2 days ago) installed on it.
