  • Peter Schiff for US Senator of Connecticut.. for the Republic..

  • His election will particularly be something I'll be looking forward to in 2012. He is too liberal for Republicans, too conservative for Democrats. Independents also don't have a very high opinion of him. Officially no real party supports this man.

Enjoy your comfy seat while you can, buddy.

  • Who here has heard about a person who predicted the economic collapse and wrote a book on how to fix it?

He is running for Senate in CT and needs your help.

He went on air and warned US citizens of the crash ahead and he sees a bigger crash coming, its only getting started.

Please watch, Peter Schiff was right:

  • joe lieberman is a toad! connecticut, you all suck! especially fairfield county! all you elitists can suck my massachusetts socialist dick!

  • Lieberman is a tool and a total political opportunist

  • I don't care if Joe LIEberman is replaced by someone from the Republican Party or Democratic Party or an Independent - just so long as the sorry-a** Insurance Company Whore is BOOTED OUT OF CONGRESS!

  • Lieberman stands no chance of re-election even as a Republican. He received more than $1 million in KNOWN campaign contributions from the insurance industry, and was always their tool. They finally decided they needed him to openly stop the public option even if it meant he would no longer be in the senate after 2012. But not to worry - they will also pay him off with a nice cushy job as an overpaid and underworked insurance lobbyist once it's all over in 2012.

  • Lieberman is a styrofoam packing peanut of a man with no real ideology other than his own wimpy, Elmer Fuddish sense of self-importance. And, you know, whatever pocket change he picks up from lobbyists along the way.

  • 16% of the US GDP goes to health care vs. 8% in most developed nations? That should be enough of an explanation as to why the people in those countries are coming to THIS country when they need any kind of significant care. Sure, it sounds good to say that nationalized health care would provide care to everyone...but the reality is: 'everyone' having 'coverage' doesn't mean everyone actually GETS real - if any - health care. It's sort-of like trying to get 1,000 people into a phone booth.

  • Why do you spout such nonsense.

We get at most 10s of thousands coming here yearly from developing nations to get care, and a few thousand from wealthy in other countries, or people whos "public care" funds them to come here for specialised treatments.

But we have over 1mil people yearly from the US go to other countries for all kinds of serious to trivial treatments.

Even ignoring how many of us cant even get care in our own country, we even such compared to othe countries in many HC stats

  • I just donated to kill his career. Whatever the outcome of the bill, let's at least do THIS right.

  • Joe Schmoe Lieberschmuck is a TRAITOR

  • That overcast haze above you is not normal. It's never blue anymore. We all need to wake up and wake others to stop this. Search for "chemtrails", "Dont talk about the weather", "Endgame HQ". See my vids. Good luck, everybody, it could be rough.

  • yawn

    standard conservative crap

    "now is not the time"

    to end slavery

    to give women the vote

    etc etc etc

apparently genetically inclined to act out of fear

  • You don't mind that we are trillions in debt? I do. My health insurance keeps rising every year and I'm a bit worried about how to cover it. I would rather cut back on a few things and pay off our debts than go into debt even deeper. It leaves us extremely venerable.

  • vulnerable* before the grammar nazi's come:)

  • Maybe if you consider the facts.

16% of our GDP goes into Health Care spending vs. 8% in most developed nations.

If we control Health Care like other nations do, that's 8% of our GDP that could be put back into our economy.

Also, the Government administers Medicare at a 4% overhead.

Go look on Yahoo Finance for the Aetna or Cigna's Financial results.

Over 8% profit and greater than 26% overhead expense for both companies.

Can you smell big Executive Bonuses in that overhead?

  • ...Except for the sections of the health care bill that throw money at the insurance companies. Those are the ones Lieberman supports. Those we can keep, because it's not America's money. It's my money and your money. Right?

  • I saw the reception Bret Farve got at Green Bay a couple a weeks ago. Here we have Joe Lieberman who with going through with blocking health reform is another Judas.

  • I read that Joe's accepted over $2.5 million from health insurance companies in the last 20 years

  • watch?v=elnZmLCpUgc OWNED!

  • Joe has proven time and again that his interests lie not with the citizens of his state or his country

but with the corporations who line his pockets with donations.

  • Lieberman is a greedy little troll trying to balance in the middle (more right) for his own personal gain.

  • Joe Lieberman is a Corporate Whore who must be defeated!

  • But lets not forget that Bush did the same thing. So where does that leave us?

  • NEWSFLASH: Bush isn't president.

  • @pdpd2209

Didn't say he was. But, I did say the Bush did the same thing. Exactly what part of that sentence did you not understand? Where did it suggest or say that Bush was still president. I recommend you retake your English classes. Especially concentrate on your comprehension skills because you are failing there.

  • the fact that you got it is enough.

  • Joe needs to go in 2012. I voted for him once in 2000 (well, actually as VP too). Never again.

  • So you don't mind paying ever increasing rates for your insurance policy and getting less coverage? Wow. Must be nice to make lots of money.

  • Get him outta there in 2010

  • We have to wait until 2012, and then it will take a huge effort as attempts were made in 2006 (Ned Lamont) and the CT for LIEberman Party was born.

  • Lieberman is a giant tool.

  • So, you believe that Twitter is a viable news source? Yes, I can see that you are a very knowledgable and intelligent person.

  • LOL! I doubt he will pick up on your sarcasm!!

  • @DefendGlenn Is Twitter seriously the news source you are citing? lol Really? Oh, and btw... there is no such thing as "Obama Care." There is a House bill (penned by Baucus) and a Senate bill (penned by Reid) - neither of them have Obama's name on them and Obama has not made ANY public statement in support of either of these bills. There is *no* *such* *thing* as "Obama Care."

    Turn off Fox News.

  • If he didn't want the government to start killing people, he wouldn't have voted for the Iraq war. Clearly, he wants people to die... without health care.

  • How can anyone possibly debate the level of brilliance in this post?

  • @DefendGlenn: I'm choosing to believe you're just ill-informed rather than just plain stupid.

NEWSFLASH-California has a $60 Billion budget deficit. This cut isnt about Obama. Its about the _STATE_ budget. The STATE of California is is broke - CANNOT meet payroll. Teachers, police officers, CHiPs, firefighters, etc are being furloughed.

The clinics providing mammograms used STATE funding for UNINSURED women not covered by Medicaid (you know, the ones would benefit from a PUBLIC OPTION!)

  • It's Lieberman for Lieberman and, as far as he's concerned, CT for CT.

  • well when he traded over to McCain during election we knew he was a bad egg out for only himself sad how he is not representing his state in the way they want the numbers are there but he just ignores them selfish idiot.

  • Sadly to many CT residents thought he would stand by Dem's so they voted for him (including the mayor of New Haven!). Trader Joe does not care about the people of CT he cares about what his next job is going to be because he will never be elected in this state again! The leaders of this state neeed to put the thumb screws to this guy!! Bet he has a nice job with the Republican party or with one of CT insur. comp's after this. Trader Joe must go!

  • A narcissistic, self serving politician? Nooooo, never!

  • jeezie peezie .. selfish man can't he see the suffering around him ?

  • How does he keep getting elected?!?!?

  • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    July 16, 2007

Address to Christians United for Israel

    Senator Joe Lieberman (ID-CT)

"I would describe Pastor (John) Hagee with the words the Torah uses to describe Moses, he is an "Eesh Elo Kim," a man of God ...And I know...that there are a lot more Christian Zionists in America than Jewish Zionists. And, I know the support of Christian Zionists today is critical to Israel's security and strength.."

  • "Christian Zionists" don't care about Jews or even Israel. They care about fulfilling biblical World Destruction stories.

  • People vote for him.

  • Self-interest is unpatriotic. Lieberman is acting as a shill for the big insurance industry. What the insurance companies do not understand is that a healthy public option is actually GOOD BUSINESS for them! Lieberman and the people who bribe him are really mixed up. Very sad. I am so so so glad that Jeb Bush helped his brother cheat in 2000, to save America from Lieberman.

  • Sink Joe. To the bottom. Forever.

  • Why would this person have chaired the Connecticut for Lieberman campaign? Hadn't Lieberman done similarly non-Demcoratic or non-Liberal, or non-Public-supported things before?

Well at least he's got the balls to speak up now.

  • It's good that more Americans are finally awaken to the wicked ways of this senile, selfish, self-centered, and self-absorb political prostitute, whom Al Gore has foolishly foisted upon America.

There can't be another politician as low as Judas Joe Lie-berman.

Like Judas, this heartless and virtueless Joe is racing the devil to the bottom. This is the lowest form of human.

  • That guy is hot. The guy in the ad, not Lieberman.

  • I agree. He's got very strong, passionate eyes and looks very dominant.

  • nice hair lookin professional not professorial

  • @0rangekat lol

  • Fuck Lieberman quote this post if you agree.

  • So this guy Mertens was a sucker for Lieberman when he should have been for Lamont? He is too little too late to the correct point of view.

  • NO! He is brilliant. He joined the Lieberman Party and called a meeting. He is the only one who showed up, so he elected himself chairman and threw Lieberman out of the part. FUNNY!!

  • OK thanks for the info. Still, unfortunately too many Connecticut folks must love Joe.

    cheers,

  • Seriously, what idiots voted this self centered ego maniacal piece of shit in in the first place. He has gone back on everything he ran on. He actually ran saying HE, not Ned Lamont would be fighting for Health Reform and insurance for all. Yeah, Joe, enough with your lies and selfishness. YOU ARE PAID TO REPRESENT US, and you are going against your constituents again and again. Screw you, Joe.

  • Just because you "fight for health reform" doesn't mean you have to accept everything that gets thrown into the "health reform basket." There are billions and billions of dollars of unnecessary pork barrel spending programs attached to this bill that have nothing at all to do with health care or health reform. Do some investigating before crucifying the guy.

  • He isn't fighting the bill because of "pork barrel spending", though it is hilarious of you to pretend that. Especially when he specifically is saying that the public option and/or the medicare buy in are the reasons he is opposing, He is going 100% against things he HIMSELF has said he is "fighting" for. He's been on the record FOR as pro medicare buy in for years and years and as recent as 3 months ago. I guess the corrupt insurance companies have really got what they paid for.

  • i wonder if joe knows he is self-serving. i also wonder if he knows that most of the country does not think much of him.

  • Joe must go!

  • This is inaccurate. Joe has a constiutency-- they just don't live in this country. They live in a country lodged between Egypt to the south and Lebanon to the north and oh yes, the rightful owners of said country are crammed into ghettos to the east. The interlopers that live in said country are Joe's true constituents.

  • Hey, asshole. First of all I am a Jew and I fully support Israel's security and I am FOR the public option. So your attempt to lump this issue in with your hatred of Jews is nonsensical. Israel has nothing to do with this issue and your hatred of Jews has nothing to do with this issue. Secondly the Israelis are not interlopers and the Palestinians choose to live the way they do. There are plenty of Arab Palestinians living free in Israel.

  • Couldn't have said it better, Jeff. Bigots like madridin just sit around all day looking for an excuse to regurgitate tiresome anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli sentiment. Whatever else one thinks about Lieberman, his loyalty is to the USA first and foremost, and I DARE anyone to present proof to the contrary.

  • Joe Lieberman wants us to send tax dollars to a Israel who happens to have a government run health care system, but he doesn't think the American people are good enough for the same kind of system Israel has. Will he deny funding to Israel until they correct their "socialist" health care system?

  • Great point! :-)

  • @rowdyventures The Israeli health care system is not government run. Learn your facts. It is a government regulated marketplace where public and privately owned health providers compete. None of the options are "public options" in the sense promoted in the current debate. The public option is owned and operated by the labor union, not the government.

  • Actually, that is precisely what is being discussed. You're confusing the public option with single payer, which is also very popular by the way.

  • Oy, where to begin. First off, I can't think of a sitting US senator who doesn't support US aid to Israel. Why single out Lieberman? Secondly, none of the funding the US sends to Israel is used by them domestically; it's military aid apportioned to almost evenly between Israel *and* Egypt that was established in the context of the Camp David Accords of the late 70s. And finally, Israel's health care system isn't "socialist"; the government doesn't even operate it! Any questions?

  • Don't get me wrong. Criticize Joe Lieberman as much as you want. I don't agree with him on the health care bill myself. Just don't make it about religion, or accuse him of being an "Israel-firster" when there's no evidence to suggest he's anything but loyal to the US.

  • This poor excuse for a public servant needs to sit in a chair facing the corner for the rest of his time in office. We can't be rid of him soon enough!

  • I thought Joe Lieberman's message to Connecticut was a Bronx cheer.

  • Awesome... regardless of anything, at least we know Joe will see this campaign ad... and that in itself is friggen sweet

  • Hit the nail on the head.

  • Joe MUST go!

  • He is an excellent example of American politicians and others I am sure strive to achieve his standard of self indulgence. With a few more like him, the citizens will realize that democracy is dead and has been. Military industrial complex has run the USA for 50+ years... so sad.

  • Joe's a pathetic, whiney douchebag.

And those are just his GOOD qualities.

  • What a mean thing to say about douchebags!

  • My sincere apology to all douchebags. I meant no offense.

  • If Joe blocks a public option he really needs to get booted this time around. "Joe must go"

  • Lieberman needs hundreds of these kinds of ads to pressure him. He really didn't run to represent Connecticut. He's in it for himself as we have seen time and time again.

  • Problem with this whole campaign is that he isn't up for reelection for a long time. Dems need to take his fangs away though by stripping him of his chairmanships and kicking him out of the caucus. Seriously!

  • Why didn't Joe Lieberbush retire with GW and Shooter Cheney? You would think that someone with their head up Bush's rear end would have been following along after him like a drug addict follows the dope dealers.

The slogan against him next election should be "Joe Must Go".

  • Did any progressives actually vote for Joe? I hope not.
