You really should get rid of the picture at 00:26. It seems to be a still from a 1930's movie. It really doesn't belong with the rest of these photos.
Great song......his fame was his voice and his downfall was his voice - but he had a style of his own - and he did get to voice over for Elvis bio's later.......he died too soon........and yes these were the days..........we will never see them again...
Those were such carefree days and so much fun and great music, it was a joy to live through those days and spend a few with Ral, I a blessed to have lived in that time
hi mompav, i am real glad that this one brought back some nice memories for you, and its nice that you stopped by and thank you for leaving a comment.
Thank you for your note... this song brings back lots of great memories for me, too. Ral brought a lot of happiness with his voice - he just left too soon. Where did the great music and the time go?

I wish we could, in 1965 (just a year I've just picked) I was 5, but it would have been great if I had been about 20. Born too late comes to mind LOL :-)
thank you FrAnK, some people can sing, some can play an instrument, i can do neither, lol. so i just put together some of my favourite songs together with some pics and hope that someone out there enjoys them, but you, you sing and play guitar, and do both of them great.
ahhh, back when the music made you impatient to get on the dance floor, and the songs (the good ones) made you feel something inside.thank you sandra.
Gord Tracy (newfoundlander) who even now performs with the Nfld. Legendary Rock and Roll Band (50's-60's stuff) is as good as an Elvis impersonator as I've heard. His brother Art can do a bang up job on Roy orbison songs. I heard Art perfor "California Blue" at a festival 3 years ago-splendid and chilling/
Agreed, I like best the ones they do that Elvis hadn't done. Ral Donner and Terry Stafford were not Elvis Impersonators during their careers. Ral did some movie stuff in later years but that's a little different. Of the ones that do the Impersonator thing I find Doug Church to be the closest in sound. Certainly Jesse Aron is very good. Jimmy Ellis was in a class by himself so to speak with a great voice.
hi ed, sorry i could not get back sooner, but i have just got my pc fixed, power pack burned out. i first heard terry stafford at a friends house, it had taken me a while but i managed to get his suspicion LP and was greatly surprised how good he was, not just at the elvis thing, but his own vocals were great to listen to, plus a few really nice songs.
Ral was great, Terry Stafford was great. But noone can out Elvis Elvis. There's one thing everyone that sounds like Elvis or sings in his style is missing. It's that magnetic magic that God only gave to that one person.
Or a handful of just a few but only one that sounds like Elvis. I say that will due respect to Ral, Terry, Jesse Aron, Doug Church etc.
i know what you mean ed, but its realy nice to hear those guys singing songs that elvis never did,and if they do it good enough, you can almost picture elvis singing a new song.
Ralph Stuart Donner had he come along before Elvis how different everything would have been a major yet obscure talentthe four big hits, the girl of my best friend, shes everything, you dont know what youve lost, and to love somebody all showcase his true talents...personally I got burned is my all time ral fave even though it was only a regional hit...mike
the guy in the middle of the picture at 150 looks like an old mate of mine from the 70s when we were teds in east london johnny elvis, indian bloke and a good laff, anyone help me on this?
hi there, ral died of cancer in the early 80,s and yes, he did the elvis voice in the elvis movie, this is elvis. also did all songs plus talking parts on the double album , ive been away for a while now ,

What a voice! As many have said, Ral Doner can 'out Elvis Elvis'!
I'd give anything to be able to sing like Ral.
Didn't he sing the voice of Elvis on an Elvis tribute just after he (E) died?
What did Ral die of?
