@hawaiianjackass no sweat man. let me know if youre still interested in the tones.... i can send you parts od drum tracks or something ive done here with it in the studio.
@GHANDICORN - i def dig these saludas. remind me of some aax crashes sorta. they did a real good job with the finish as well!
the snare is awesome... but the die cast hoops that come on it are horrible! lol. i need to get a regular 13 inch tripple flanged and put that on there.
glad you dig the style and sound! my other vids i think are even better tho... haha! well some of them at least.
i was thinking about buying that snare off musicians friend. but i wanted to hear how it sounded first. think its possible to make a video using just the snare only if you want to though. right on man. btw badass on that double kick
@hawaiianjackass yeah for sure man. i can get one done either later on today or tomorrow for you , man! ill shoot you a message on here with a link to it, cool?
@xsavagedrummerx - what size is your bass drum? i use an Evans Emad2 on the batter with aquarian resonant with a 4 inch port hole. blanket in the bass drum as well... not too much against the batter head... a little bit... but mostly against the resonant. tuned pretty low, with the batter head slightly higher than the resonant. also wood beaters on my pedal! :-) does that help at all?
yeah a little.. on my kit at home i use an evans emad as well but at school everything is just the mapex heads that came with the kit... i will try to convince them to by and emad but until then i will just have to work with what i got and play with it a little, thanks
yeah its def great for the money man. i love the sound of a maple snare. its actually tuned a little bit lower than i usually tune just to see how it sounded recorded with this single micing thing. i have a few other videos with it but havnt uploaded them yet. they sound good tuned in all ranges too.
i really like them man. they sound good together and match up well with my others and my drums. no complaints yet! lol. im going to go record a better video in a minute actually i think!! ill let you know when its posted. should be able to hear them a little better...
haha yeah sorry havnt loged in for a while!

Hey! Very nice cymbals!
I have a question about your snare though!
Is your ddrum S4 snare any good? I've been thinking about getting it but I haven't seen any videos on it until now.

Alright. Its kind of hard to find that happy medium of maple, quality, and projection in a snare drum in that price range.
Is the tuning range good? Can it go from a nice fat sound to a poppy snap?
