yea it gets expensive, not much you can do about the radio though, but you can always o to mikeys rc and build a "3d" foam core airplain, I built a spitfire from the plans he offers for free,
the airplain cost me a total of $8.50 to build, less the motor, radio and battery.
But when you think how much it will cost to replace parts after a crash it will practicaly be nothing because I had plenty of foam core left over I got two 22 x 19 '" pices for $3
i guess ure set up abit too heavy dude,,and its hard to get cg if ur battery abit too heavy on tail...,i've experience it w my p-40,,,Nice flight anyway,,
Spitfires R/C or full scale are a hard plane to fly because of the low wing they are made for speed A high wing or mid wing would of been better I.E. Piper cub all 3 crashes looked like you were coming in too fast in which case i understand. Its hard to control at lower speeds nice vid :)
Model spitfires are a bastard to fly in general but there are some nice flying examples when the c of g has been moved and the wing incidence changed. A good R.C pilot can make any plane look good.
yay dac

its hard with landing gears on grass, I have the parkzone spitfire and it lands perfect on grass. If you get a chance check out ctaves.

this is funny people spending lots of money and then they crash it. i would go for a cheaper one then go for an expensive one.

Yeh i agree, but i made this for a major school project.
I learnt on an S&B Komet.
I would usually land fine, but i think i was a bit nervous.

Lovely bit of kit mate - did you build it yourself?
Try not to stack the poor thing too much ;)

as an experienced rc pilot, I would recommend a better plane to train on, like a cadet or a PT-40. Not a spitfire. Thats a bad choice for a 1st plane

Yeh, there not the best planes to fly, but they look goood when their well trimmed.

This was my first plane, which probably wasn't the best idea, but i learnt on a S&B Komet, which is an excellent plane.
I have retired the Spitfire, and put all the electronics into a Komet that i got for free.
