I saw Conflict back in the day.1986-1988 This looks less hectic to me. No stage diving. The mosh @ Conflict gigs.....unreal. This is still good though. Ⓐ
I love how they played the audio clip that appears on the CD. I really wish I was born ten years earlier, than I could have seen these guys in there prime. Caustic Christ and behind emeny lines are about as close as it gets these days.
Americas Crass? Oh come on. Crass weren't nearly as brutal, to the teeth in your face as this band. Conflict is one of the only bands that could be compared.
@Decimus1985 Fucking exactly dude, everyone says Aus Rotten is America's Crass but in my opinion Aus Rotten is much gnarlier sounding and have much more intelligent lyrics. Crass would just take the basic drum beat, throw in 3 random cords if any at all and just say "fight war, not wars" over and over again. Conflict on the other hand was extremely intelligent and sounded fucking insane. Them and Aus Rotten are probably the best bands ive ever heard
@Decimus1985 yeah come on Aus-Rotten was heavily influenced by Crass, & probably Conflict too, but yeah it's not the way they sound, it's what they are singing about & how they sing it, that's what the other person meant by "America's Crass", but yeah still no comparisons cos they're just fucking amazing :P
@Cryptbass Amazing is right. This band really had a hand in the devolpment of crust [as we know it today]. people will argue all day with that statement, but ask any modern crust punk band, I guarantee this band was one of there top influences.

@the6anti6christ6 Nahhhhhhhh. Crass had their own sound, different time. Now this band can be compared to british bands like Anti-System and Electro Hippies.
In one of there album "not one single fucking hit" its called intro, its a bunch of audio form radio and TV about protests, some of it was used in the intro of the system works for them but its all in a song called "Intro" in that album
@cyrilzero - its samples of a few members of Weather Underground in some documentary about them, not the one that was widely released few years ago though. Its mainly Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorne. Some other samples are from various black civil leaders
who cares about what is punx, punk, punks or what the fuck ever, this is music guys, casualties are awesome aswell as aus-rotten, ITS FUCKING MUSIC, you guys pretend to be against fascist, but telling whos punk, whos not is a fine exemple of what is rascism
ps: 40oz casualty is awesome, if you wanted a song that sucks by the casualties, youd better say unknown soldier or some shit
First off Punx isn't singular, "a punx" its plural, a shortened version of punks, its basically a bit of an underground tattoo movement, I'm not sure who started it put look and both tim armstrong and Jorge's hands
I love aus rotten !!!

I agree on the whole pacifism, non violence speech. We cannot forget that destruction is also a form of creation.

Who cares who sounds like who? or whos the american version of who?
Crass is amazing in their own way in which no band can compare.
Aus-Rotten is amazing in their own way in which no band can compare.
Conflict is amazing in their own way in which no band can compare.

@Decimus1985 and also Oi Polloi! ;)
ilPericoloso90 1 year ago
@Decimus1985 Well Crass single handedly lead to the invention of "anarcho punk", so comparing even conflict or Aus rotten is obsolete.

In Short: "Punx" is a negative derogative of the word "Punk"
A perfect example of "Punx" are The Casualties.
A good example of "Punks" is Aus-Rotten
If you listen to the lyrics, there is a huge difference between the two.
Aus Rotten- The System Works For Them
The Casualties- 40oz. Casualty
