  • Comment removed

  • @kbchoi99 that is right i can see quite a few non lego pieces from the outside alone although it is still pretty awesome. wonder how much of the inside is only lego?

  • it would be really bad if the machine would fell and break to pieces.... GOOD WORK MAN!!!!!

  • Do you still have this put together?

  • @gregothelego123 Yes, the machine is still built @ February 2011

  • @ronaldmcrae is it still built in November 2011?

  • Is NXC exclusively for the NXT? Do you need the script to be pre-compiled or do you directly upload the source code?

  • @Lizzardman666 NXC is a C-like programming language that is compiled on a PC (or Mac). The language is very much like standard C with a few extras that are NXT specific like motor control commands, sensor reading functions etc. The compiler creates an executable code file that is downloaded to the NXT brick. The file can be run by the standard NXT firmware, the same one that runs programs created in the NXT-G graphic language.

  • AWESOME

  • 100 % Lego???!?!? WOW DUDE THAT'S SO AWESOME!

  • for what do you used the power functions?i saw a batterybox

  • for what do you used the power functions and the other 5 light sensors?

  • @alleertmen3 PF battery box operates the lights on the tower via the IR Link from the NXT.

The 5 light sensors are mounted one inside each reel. They are only used when the machine is first powered up to align the reels to a known start position. Each reel has a mirror tile mounted on it and the light sensor uses that to set the position.

  • is that real lego????

  • :) is that real lego????

  • he can't do this machine by lego he using athoner one

  • how long did this take?

  • @Benandbjshow READ it took 4 months

  • what do you use for the rols/reels wheels or...?

  • what do you use for the rols wheels or...?

  • @alleertmen3 The reels are built on the large green wheels in Lego set 8108 - Mobile Devastator.

  • jesus christ this is extensive

  • did you make this

  • wuestion..it didnt look like money coming out of it when you won....what was it?

  • Wow! Thats really amazing. If you realley build it by yourself, it will be the best Nxt-construktion i've ever seen!!

  • this is like a real slot machine

  • from wich lego set are the wheels with the paper on it?

    thanks, Sander

    Great work!!!!

  • @Mediamarktfreak there is no set for paper that's home made, the wheels im not so sure about.

  • @Cartier736 Agreed, the paper on the reels is non-Lego. I wanted the look to be somewhat authentic so I compromised on that. But the reels on which the paper is stuck are indeed Lego parts, they are the large green wheels in set 8108, Mobile Devastator.

  • @Mediamarktfreak The reels are built on the large green wheels in Lego set 8108 - Mobile Devastator.

  • @ronaldmcrae Thanks, but only 1 green wheel is to thin for the paper? or do you have used 2 wheels for each reel?

  • should actually put this in vegas :)

  • omg coin

  • OMFG that doe's look like lego...

  • this is amazing! :D oh my god, cool!

  • wow

  • you mus t be a billon air or a millon air.

  • I saw this and played this at brickworld indy 2010!!

  • MY LUCKY NUMBERS 7

  • nice choice of music for a slot machine

  • this is amazing!

  • you made this video on pinnacle!

  • ABBA MONNEY MONEY

  • nice music choice

  • yep, abba ftw

  • hey!!!! i think this machine was on display at the washington dc brick fair... wasnt it????? i played with it once.....

  • make sure a angry man in vegas doesn't knock it over o_0

  • but how much you paid to build?

  • lego bricks should come out when you win!

  • That's a good idea. But I'd also need to make it that you put Lego bricks in to play. Since that sets the odds in favor of the machine that's why I like the idea!

  • hi, can i buy the machine. How much is it??

  • I would also happily buy any of your other creations!

  • @bigfishjonny haha^^

  • OMFG

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • @landraiderares why?

  • john hansen is a norwegian name

  • dude!!!

if i could by this i would!!!

  • NASA, is using Lego mindstorm for there astronaut training :P

  • That's smart! I knew that LEGO was great, but I never knew that it's technology could be this advanced! 5/5 stars!

  • that is awesome! i would so buy it!

  • i would buy that for $1000

  • Lol me too, but the electronics just by themselves are around $1000

  • you made it yourself?!

  • Did you used encoder?

Could give me the codes in NXC for its use?

  • WOW,im stuned

  • what NXT?

  • Thanks for watching. NXT is the trade name of the Lego computer bricks that operate the machine. You can see the screen display of the NXT computers within the red area on the front of the machine.

  • cool,

one more question, how long did it take to make this?

  • It took about 4 months to build and program.

  • dude the time is whorth it

  • all i can say is yes!

  • holy shit. man wow just wow

  • Good god man..... Wow.

  • Just 3 Letters

    W O W

    That's amazing

  • cool

  • is that real life size

  • Yes, I pretty much based the overall dimensions on a real machine that I have.

    32" High, 16" Wide, 13" Deep.

  • wow

  • This video ALWAYS gives me gas.

  • what???

  • Good god. This is incredible. Just. Absolutely. Incredible.

  • This is truly amazing work, its good to see people who can conjure up things like this.

  • ..what i appreciate here most is the SOUND...nice ABBA music..

  • niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • very nice how much for cash????you selling??

  • at 0:25 thats to bad lol!

  • A++ great programming n engineering. try to sell to lego

  • That is extremely impressive. I spent 10 months on a Meccano slot machine. You can see it at the LondonMeccanoClub channel but it pales into insignificance against this.

  • what happens if you drop it on the floor when you fall down the stairs?

  • Probably about the same thing as would happen to a real slot machine in the same scenario - it would break. I suppose it's just a question of the number of pieces it would break into!

  • must be awfully delicate! lol!!

you accidentally bump into the machine the wrong way, and smash, legos everywhere.
