I know what smoke is, if you look at the killcam it shows IR flares as an upgrade on the tank which killed you.

I hope for another warfare package, something awesome, a good few weapons crossed my mind for it. ACR, Spas 12, PSG-1, 552 Command, Desert Eagle, but most of all... would LOVE to see my favorite rifle in it: the XM8. Loved that rifle.

one game on kharg island rush, my friend and I were in a helicopter and I went 10-1 while he went 44-1 with a 39 killstreak. They are very powerful.

@ubermcnoob I think that was smoke, smoke is a counter-measure like IR flares, allows them to break contact with Javalin Missles and Laser Designation Weapons, than back up at a safe distance or get some cover.

Personally I like to hover up now and again to let my gunner soak up kills, I'll target armour mainly then hover again whenever able to.

havoc reloads flares & shit faster. ECM jammer on that thing can keep you from getting hit by any laser designated missiles just from it's shortened reload time.... sorta. there is a 1-2 second window that can be taken advantage of but any LOS will null that. i personally hate flying the havoc but it's just as deadly as the cobra but requires different tactics.

It's good to see that there are other pilots like me and my friend, we play a bit different, we land a bit more to repair, but I, the gunner, use thermal optics and guided rockets and he, the pilot, uses laser designator and flares, essentially creating the same set up as the scout helicopter, but with added heat seekers rocket pods and the main gun, I did try the tv guided before the patch when they just bounced off of things and haven't since used them.

Or... use radar,flare, guide missiles and ask your gunner to use stealth flares and missiles too, but the problem is most of them kids play on PS3 just wanna take off on that helicopter before you can get it, guys guys.... pilot+gunner can beat anyone and anything, he is right and when you understand your pilot or gunner...you become unstoppable!

I dont think a redo of the old stinger will be happening any time soon. 2 people on the ground easily take out a helicopter and can distract a jet

Havoc can take more of a beating and its weapons cool reload quicker (from my experience) then to the Viper.

Also could you confuse the viper with a Apache cause i think it looks like one.

helicopters are very powerful if you know how to use them , they can even overpower fighter jets in many ways like landing , repairing , secondary gunner trolololol and kicking ass.

u need to slow down because u cant get all of ur shots on the target moving fast and it makes it harder for the gunner.

Wtf with helicopters and jets if I hit any lamppost or and thing that's tall and made of metal I explode, but when ever i hit a tree it literally does no damage, on that one new map that's basically an island, my f 35 crashed into a tree, stopped completely and i was at 100% health. the funny part was that I then took of vertically and killed the jet that was locking on to me

You do great flying, but from one helicopter pilot to another, you might want to keep your nose more level and just lower the helicopter instead of diving so often and such. Allows your gunner more hit time and, generally, yourself more pod rocket time on targets.

I think air vehicles are underpowered. I'd like to see less rockets with the lock on launchers. Without a gunner your pretty much fucked. But the worst thing is lamposts. If i clip a lampost i dont expect to bounce off it and leave it intact. Yes we should suffer some degree of dmg but it shouldnt kill you and remain standing.

I'd disagree with you in regards to the stinger and igla, before the patch they were able to disable vehicles in 1 hit where some noob can be just camping somewhere and easily kill air vehicles which was pretty annoying. I'd say the damage is just right cuz it'll move u down to 55 health but won't disable you

@Mr8Simme laser painter, flares, guided missile. You can lock onto ground and air targets, and the missile cannot be flared :) It is less accurate however, so you have to time when you fire it.

Another tip I like to use whilst in the heli - when I get a lock on an enemy heli, fire 1 missile, then switch to main gun, then quickly back to missile, lock on again, then fire your second.

Nearly all heli pilots have flares and they will be forced to flare after the first missile. If you fire both at once they both miss after the first flare.

@jh0lt if there is a beginner in the heli... only lock and wait untill they hit the flare... most players will... then after he pops the flare lock on again and fire both missiles at once.. usually takes them out
