I've heard it said that the Messsaih is both ben-Joseph ans ben-David, ie both the one who suffers and the conquering king. To whom is Zechariah refering when he writes "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced ; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

@dvkuth Just as Jacob was called the 'firstborn' over Essau his older brother, in Exodus 4:22 God is clearly talking about His specially chosen nation. The one and only Son of God is eternal, without beginning and without end. I have little desire to prove the deity of Christ to you as I believe most Jews will see through the false-Messiah and quickly realize that Jesus is indeed the Messiah they've been waiting for. I just pray for this revelation to come sooner rather than later.

Xians like to change G-d's words. In In 2 Corinthians 3:7 Paul calls Torah “the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones”. G-d calls the words of Torah” your very life” (Deut 32:47). J "declared all foods clean" in Mark 7:19. Contradicting G-d.

@dvkuth My reference to Jesus Christ as the only son of God in no way contradicts Exodus 4:22 as I am referring to the fact that He and the Father are one. Look, you keep your pride in the forefront and stay bound as a slave to the law to be judged by it. I will also obey God's commandments, but my obedience will be out of love for Him as His child... through the grace of Jesus Christ. You await a Messiah... I contend He already came and His own people didn't recognize Him.
