Wow, he still remember george's words "opportunity knocks". And Paul played the song beutifully. And it's really great listen him playing YESTERDAY again, and again...., I

This is what it must have been like in January of 1980 when Paul was busted for pot in Japan and the guards gave him a guitar and demanded he play Yesterday over and over and over which I heard is 100% true. Sit on the stool evil enrish! you sing yeselday!
every beatle was amazing, they each had their strong point and by puting them all together made perfection, you can hate paul, or hate john or hate ringo or george but no one can deny that they were amazing and had some amazing songs, i would say they are the best ever and although some meay agree and some dont, for the 10 years they were together, they made some of the most amazing music ever, the ended at their peak. how does it get any better than that

I liked his post beatled work due to its increasing maturity. The Beatles as a group would never look good doing those cute songs 10 years later or even 20 years. Like Elvis, it is never the same as the first years.
what do you mean, the beatles did mature with their music. it was awesome from the start i think. but then they got even more serious with the lyrics and lennon really tried to create a new sound. if the never broke up and george and john were still kickin' they'd still be pumping out good records. some bands get worse over the years, but i don't think they would. people are always labeling bands as musical geniuses. well the beatles are the one and only geniuses!

I take it you've never heard of Sgt. Peppers (the album) or Tomorrow Never Knows (the song), then? I know it's your opinion but it seems to me that it's pretty mature and innovative--not too mention pretty fucking awesome.
By the way, if you've never heard of those two--I highly recommend running out & buying the Sgt Peppers and Revolver records immediately after reading this comment.
wow, how awkward,, to see Paul still young, playing some beatles songs, at a time where people still had dreams about the beatles coming back together! very intersting, and sad at the same time...
Are you kidding the guy is edgy at 65 let alone in his Wings era. Hear of Band on the Run, Tug of War, London Town, Macartney 2, Ram, Flaming Pie etc..... He's amazing.
Intersting to hear him mutter "opportunity knocks" after finishing his second runthrough of Yesterday.... a line delivered by George during a 1965 concert where Paul took the stage solo to play the song as the first Beatle to be alone on stage.
people mature and with that their wishes and desires change. Their experiences change. Thus their songs change. Yet if you look at Chaos and Creation in the Backyard you will see classic songs there so you see it is never really lost.
If he could so easily slip into Beatles mode, why couldn't he keep writing quality material like that? As a musician, the prospect of entering my thirties is frightening.
Dig, it's not about age, ultimately. It's about how open and hip you are to different sounds and ideas, being flexible to trying new things, and keeping a fresh perspective. Also helps to be talented and know your instrument. But look at Tom Waits, for example. Never a step lost through the years.
He actually did. "Band on the run", "Jet", "Live and let die", were all great songs he wrote after the Beatles. But this man wrote "Yesterday, Let it be, the long and winding road, penny lane, Eleanor Rigby all by himself. I don`t think he has to prove himself. Every thing after that is just a nice bonus, he can`t top the Beatles!
This stuff needs to be releases on dvd,c'mon Paul.

he hasn't changed much from that time to now, has he?
for me there's almost no difference in his voice... and in his appearence (except for the aging marks)
I can't see why some people believe he's had face lifts... if he did then he had a really good one, cause i can't tell by looking at his recent pics.
