Msamanda or whatever, I think that he said that he said, "Yeah, and I'm gonns have to see you guys for the NEXT forty years! Hahaha!!!" . That makes me so sad because that was like fiveish years before he died of cancer. I wish that they could have made that day more epic so they could have that moment a moment to remember forever... :(
i loved it when ringo said, at the end, "I like hangin with you", was very honest and vulnerable. the three lads just chillin with a cup of tea n a sing along, thats all the fans ever wanted anyway.
@ArgentineExpel4Fraud Cheer up! It seems to me all three of them are enjoying the moment. And I repeat, John was not the Beatles. He was an integral part of the Beatles. If John alone was the Beatles, just think how good his solo albums would have been!
@watchpotch You are spot on! Up until his death John only had 9 top 40 hits. Only one went to #1. After his death he had 4 more top 40 hits. On the other hand during this same time, up to 1980, Paul had 28 top 40 hits. 7 singles went to #1 and 15 made the top 10. Wings ranks as the 2nd most successful band of all-time. Paul McCartney was the #1 artist of the decade in the 70s. Paul scored 9 more top 40 hits after 80. Including 2 #1's and 6 top 10's. George Scored 15 top 40's & 3 #1's
@ArgentineExpel4Fraud oh fuck off! The Beatles weren't ONLY John Lennon. They were all having fun, it was just a coincidence that Ringo looked at his watch! George is having fun or else he wouldn't be there, he said in an interview that basically he doesn't let people boss him around, telling him what to do. You're very close-minded if you think John was the only great member of the band. Go listen to Justin Bieber.
@ArgentineExpel4Fraud ummmm I think ringo looked at his watch cos as he said later, "I've got to go now" probably cos he had to be somewhere. That's why I check my watch any way. George makes jokes and laughs at the end, one thing you did get right though, paul is having fun :D and johns probably fucking smiling down on them, saying, I wish I was there. Now zippit they're all great
@ArgentineExpel4Fraud hmmmmm can I waste any thought on your comment....... eeeeemmmmmm..... no .... fuck off and stop being a fucking child and acting all depressed and edgy ... really don't bother replying.
@ArgentineExpel4Fraud you couldnt be more wrong and you have exposed yourself to be one of 2 things, inept at understanding how music is made or just a fool in general. You want Ringo and George replaced, say goodbye to a LARGE portion of Beatles material, even the Lennon McCartney written ones because George still wrote the solos and Ringo still wrote the drums. Listen to a day in the life, Phil Collins RAVES about Ringo in that song and says he makes it. "Something", Here Comes the Sun" etc
There is a new project at Kickstarter(dot)com for the film "The Beatles at their Best". It focuses on the time before Ringo joined. According to John Lennon, this is when the Beatles were at their best. There is also a trailer on YouTube.
Look at the three "lads" just hanging out. This is likely scripted, but still. Through it all, whether it be recording, touring, all the crap, they were friends.
Nice and painfull to see this. Nice because it looks they are having a nice time. Painfull bacause John was not there and George died too a few years later.
None of this so called "reunion" footage seems genuine. It's as if they are simply on display like trained seals and after 35 years of doing this stuff, Paul just can't keep from mugging the camera.

Ringo's "gotta leave" a Beatles reunion? What did he possibly have to do that was more important and historically significant than that?

Ugh! I love the Beatles too much to watch this stupidity.
Paul's the only one having fun. George, forever bitter and
never happy in spite of his "spiritual" posturing can't
afford to put on a smile. Ringo even LOOKS AT HIS
WATCH! My god, if you ever needed proof that John
Lennon WAS the Beatles...this is it! Just look at this
depressing scene!

@SgtPepper4140 - Ringo is finally feeling the weight of his
mild contributions to this mythic band. If I were Ringo I'd want
to get the hell out of there too. You can be sentimental and
say they were ALL EQUALLY IMPORTANT but we all know
it's not true. George and Ringo were always replaceable. It's
the elephant in the room. After taking John's hissy cassette
recordings and trying to squeeze one last "hit" out of them, I
don't think John is "smiling" on these aging clowns.

@spice43 - I never said Ringo and George "should" be replaced.
I said that Ringo and George, unlike John and Paul, were always
largely replaceable. In fact, during their American tour in 1964
Ringo was indeed replaced. Many didn't even notice. You know,
you can be sentimental about George but his 3 good songs didn't
come until the very end of the Beatle run. Of the three, two were
said to have gotten help from Paul. Either way, where's the "large"
portion of Beatle material?
