great job!!you smoked it....Groove would have loved it!!..I got to see all the greats.Jimmy Smith was born in my hometown of Norristown,Pa. in fact I played in a band with his nephew in the 1970's.
I seen Groove and Jimmy McGriff together in Philly..They tore the joint down.Seen Joey D., Charles Earland......They all have one thing in common..They are eithher from Philly or surronding suburbs..

There was an early Groove Holmes album titled "The Groover" where he did a nice version of "Just Friends" that you might want to check out; unfortunately, I have not seen any CD reissues of that album, but it was classic Holmes done at a faster pace with the usual syncopation in the bass line that was his trademark. (I believe it was a Prestige release)... Worth the search...

Nice changing of vib, leslie, and perc. Groove was famous for, among other things, his use of subtle Hammond tricks.

Outstanding job! It's not just the notes...you're right in the pocket, as well. Really enjoyed it!

Hey man... What an amazing bassline you paint in this song. Great chord changes as well.
Really really great. :-)

Man, I had to add this to my favorites. I learned a lot from watching this..
I have a A100 but how does someone approach this type of chord style - education? I'm a newbee...
