Close the park, delete the footpath system, and start small. And as you gradually build up (1000 guests doesn't really take a lot of space, and definitely not the whole park), make a simple footpath system your No. 1 priority, and effective staff (handymen, mechanics, etc) a very close second. As long as you keep those in mind, this park will be straightforward.
@OrangeSodaKing You're right, and that's what I did, some trees as well, even though it cost some, but I had a bit of cash from deleting all the obsolete paths and scenery. I usually never really expand unless I get bored and continue a park for eons. I usually put everything close together to be more profitable. Food courts too :D
