@Chazaxl Yeah. I actually started looking into using a remote for the tablet itself but then it was pointless because its touchscreen and in daily use I did not find it practical to use a remote for the tablet itself.
@hexxamillion Thanks - I want to get something that is a replacement for the steeringwheel controls that I will lose once I remove my current system. A remote is nice, even if not perfect.
@Chazaxl I do not have the camera inputs to my tab. Instead I replaced my rearview mirror with a 3-way split mirror/monitor. I can view right, left and rear inputs from the monitor.
@Lukethaduke1988 Yes. Music and all audio goes through my factory speakers...in fact they sound like HD Audio or aftermarket speakers and really bump. The mini amp helps with that cause its 50w x 4 RMS which is around the same as many aftermarket headunits.
Ok so im doing the same thing...in detail please, how did you bypass playing music with no fac. radio...you said sum about rca to aux, how did you do this...detailed info please
@Lukethaduke1988 The link to my worklog details should be in the video description section. If not I will add the link with those details. Essentially I have the audio jack cable connected from the tablet to a mini floor amp. JACK -> RCA.
I haven't read your install details but as for bluetooth compatability issue from your tab, I had similar issue. Do you have wifi on in your tab? Reason I'm asking is because galaxy tab's bluetooth and wifi don't work well together. Reason being the wifi scans for signal every 10 to 20 seconds and interferece with the bluetooth causing the pause/or skip.
@TheAraj90 Yes. I have the ego flash connected to the amp via RCA cables. My phone is connected to the EGO however I decided to connect to the tablet to the amp via Jack to RCA since both devices can't be connected to the EGO at the same time. The audio from the Galaxy Tab tends to intermittently pause when connected to the EGO via Blutooth. So there seems to be some compatibility issues. You can read my worklog in the link above.
Very nice... hey stick to being Hardwired... its the most solid connection....

@erwin15erwin Yeah. The hardwired solution has benefits and has been stable.

Actually, nevermind - reading your thread, pity the remote is for the amp, not the tablet. I might look to see if I can find something similar ....

@hexxamillion Also - I see in your thread you have cameras - do you input them somehow into the tablet? If so - how?

This is amazing work! how do you keep the original radio to connect to the bluetooth?
alexglenny 3 months ago in playlist More videos from hexxamillion
@alexglenny I don't have a radio. My tablet replaces it because it has everything that I need. I stream internet radio or play my local music mp3's.

that's almost exactly what i was planning to do, how did you wire it up? is the ego flash connected to your speakers and stuff?
