  • That is not fouetté it is a frappé dumbnuts delete it and retitle it as frappe

  • When she said "fouette" the first time, it sounded like she said "frappe". x)

  • @xsheisthesunx TYPO?!?!?! really bitch, really? I would call it more of wanting views so they call it something people wanta watch. U dumb fuck.

  • that was not a fouette.. :S

  • that is not a foutte no offence but that is crap!!!!!

  • WTF THIS IS NOT FOUTTE!! no offense, but come on! think before typing the title!

  • What the heck am I gonna do with a frappe while doing ballet?

  • Alright, this is not a fouette, it's a frappe. Also, it is nothing like a degage,, degage means to brush, while frappe means "to strike" She also forgot to mention accenting the move.

  • everyone's like "THAT'S NOT A FOUETTE" when they made the video they were doing frappes, it was a typo in the name, guys.

  • @xsheisthesunx I no what you mean but with all the comments thay cold have changed the name..

  • wtf ?! that's not a fouette!

  • I competed against you guys in some starbound compititions. You guys are good.

  • Uh I wanted Fouette Turns not Frappes and

Youre Not Even Doing The Frappes Right

(hint* you dont brush you strike when frappes

you should "brush" your hair "Connie")

Even if you gave me fouette turns you probably would have done them badly

    WHAT!

  • You're actually suppose to point your toe when it's at your leg. And when your leg is at the "back" it's going more diagonally to the side, when it should be straight back behind your foot.

  • This video is offensive to the art of classical ballet. Frappe not fouette. Strike the floor don't brush. And that fifth position makes me want to vomit.

  • WTF YOU SUCK. its frappe not frickin fouette!!!!!!!!!! and you are supposed to strike the floor and make a sound!!!!!!!!!!!!! expert village never has real experts.

  • why are EXPERT village video instructors never experts!

  • Ummm frappes are very strong not that elegant. You strike the floor with your foot.

  • hey do not misguide the people that want to learn this is frappe not fouette!!!!!!

  • I knew it wasnt about Fouettes the minute it said "Beginner Ballet"...hahah Frappes, completely different thing.

  • Hahaha, I started dancing in October, and even I know this is bullshit :L Nobody is going to get lessons with you!

  • fouettess???

  • I JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO FOUETTE TURN. NOT POINT MY FREAKING TOES.

  • Well, this video is offensive.

  • I wouldn't consider a fouette as a beginners thing...

  • yea I think im going to ehow.

  • what!!! we dont wanna learn how to make a cup of coffee? wat!!! ughh! freaks these days....

  • ummm yeah ... fail ..

i really want to learn how to do a fouette

  • @SuperASHBASH its sssoooo easy ownce u try! :)

  • Sounds to me like someone in the village ain't an expert. e___e

  • thats not a fouette... its more like a frappe... but its not even right as a frappe. lol xD

  • she has horrible point

  • and who would take ballet online!!??

  • she says degages funny and you strike the ball of your fooot on the floor and this looks like glisades and im twelve and i have better turnout and know the my french steps! try looking up how to do ballet yourself!

  • that's a frappe.. not a fouette.. wow.

  • Completely wrong. for fucks sake try using frappe in the title. And when teaching frappes always teach them to 2nd first as these are easier to do. Your explaination of the technique is completely wrong. A frappe is strong sharp movement down into the floor. Even a 12 year could tell you that. By the way use of turnout muscle and floor pressure might help. You were practically parallel.

  • Completely wrong. for fucks sake try using frappe in the titlle. And when teaching frappes always teach them to 2nd first as these are easier to do. Your explaination of the technique is completely wrong. Even a 12 year could tell you that.

  • oh please, she couldnt convince stevie wonder she was a real ballerina! they have to be tall and skinny(or so my teacher tells me) the ballet world is pretty shallow:/

  • No está enseñando fouete, sino frappe.

  • FRAPPE not FOUETTE major difference expert village. and if your going to do ballet it would helpp it you worked your turn out.

  • And Those Are Frappés,,Thanks For Joining Me Guys.

    Ermm Okay.

  • i'm not going to say that its a frappe not a fouette, but i want to point out the fact that atleast for six months people have complaining about the title and they still haven't fixed it so apparently thats how much they care!

  • @Stammyify ditto :)

  • Okeey!!!! I've learned how to do frappes! Thanks

    . . .

    LOL

  • @BarneyTobey

Thats how 200 pound ballerina's do fouettes apparently

  • FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what bothers me the most about this video is that she is not turned out, well i cant tell actually because icant see her knees

  • thats a frappe not a foette

  • WTF this is a frappe which means to strike not a fouette which means to whip

  • title?????? no... just no. stupid expert village. constantly dont have their facts straight

  • WTF THIS IS NOT A FOUETTE

  • connie you helped me a lot!!! thanks

  • SRS BSNS U GUIZE

  • This lady has no idea what she"s doing!!! Degages??? Hello?????

  • its not a brush your striking the floor gosh shes acting like they are degages this is stupid!

  • these are not fouettes at all! they arent even italian fouettes! these are frappes!!

  • This is a frappe -.- it isn't A FOUETTE

  • there is so many things wrong with this i don't even know where to start.

  • This isnt a fouette, this is a frappe! Not only that, but its not even a good frappe! Change the title before a beginning dancer sees this and does the wrong thing!

  • waitt a foutte is a type of spin with the leg extending out and in as you turn.... this is a frappe, lol please if its possible change the title

  • Hey guys...get back to me when you want to teach actual fouettes. I know how to frappe. Thanks.

  • "this is alot of work for your brain as well"

  • ewwwwww. she doesn't even bring her foot directly behind her when she goes to the back. Even I know to do that and I'm not very good

  • frappe not fouettte!!!!!!!!!!

  • she even says 'frappe' at 1:01

  • errrrm... I thought a fouette was the spin thing? Im not even a dancer and i know that!

  • Uh wtf? I wanted to know fouette, not frappe. Good job expert village.

  • You might wanna take the word "fouette" out from the title

  • Okay pronunciation is killing and motion is so painful. If you're doing bar work, DO IT ON THE BAR!!!

I don't want to judge, but seriously, live up to the name "expert village"

  • she actually says frappé but the description is wrong. i honestly tried to defend these videos of expert village, but slowly i believe its everything but expert. should at least be clear what they're showing in the videos. in other videos the dancer does something wrong and the teacher just says: beautiful. would be more helpful for beginners if they would correct them in the videos, cuz from mistakes you can learn. anyways. if u wanna learn ballet, go to a school.

  • Oh my God! This woman is a spastic! They are frappes for starters not fouettes! I would never attend ballet at cynergy dance! She can go get screwed FUCKING RETARD!

  • someone should edit the title, and make the captions not take up the entire goram screen, so ppl can see what shes doing...

  • why does the title say "Foutte"? they're frappes, not Fouttes. Fouttes, are a turn.

  • @MakeupTeen94 thanks for telling because im a begginer and idk if its right or not

  • oh, this is not good.

  • 2 words.....TURN OUT!!!!!

  • Erm, that's not a fouette!

  • on thoes back FRAPPES (not fouettes) you need to turn out! also bring your knee in on thoes front ones,(turned out of courese you dont want to look turned in)

  • why did she say it was a frappe and call the video fouettes!!

  • Im Sorry but this is a Joke

  • D'abord c'est pas des fouettés, et puis elles n'est même pas endehors, et elles ne tend pas ses pointes!!

  • OH NOOOOO

  • some fat cow that thinks she can tell us something about my ballet.

    HAHA -.-

  • she isnt even turning..

  • Well I guess this is a good thing to watch if you want to be a teacher later on, so you can indicate precisely what she does wrong and how to correct it, no?

I'm not being rude, Connie, i'm wishing you luck with the joy of ballet-ing and some more ballet lessons :)

  • um im almost 100% sure that these are not fouettes sooo yeah get ur facts straight

  • Didn't anyone notice that she actually SAYS FRAPPE?!?!

Some stupid simply wrote the wrong subtitles/title.

    Take it easy, everyone.

Expertvillage is of course not the highest of highs, but there's no reason to insult anyone or be so rude...

  • @mansontwiggy22 i noticed it.

  • @mansontwiggy22 i did but apparently in months time you and me are the only ones who also use our ears... i saw the title on this vid and thought "wow, begginers fouettes" i've danced ballet for two years and we still haven't done any fouettes lol

  • CANKLES

  • this isn't even a fouette...

  • Fouette ?! I see no fouette ...

  • I Dont Evan Know Ballet And I Can Tell Dats Rong

  • these are frappes not fouettes!!

  • well... I think she is not professional at all...

First of all the totally absence of technique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

second, the horrible outfit... Why those pants?

third, she is a little bit overweight... but just a little bit.

perhaps she swalled a ballerina ahahahahahahaha.

and to conclude. please don't follow her or otherwise you won't ever become a ballerina.

Connie Hale please hold down your fat moving.

  • this is not fouettes!!!! expert villiage has dissapointed me:(

  • what the hell is a "fappe"?? you say it FRAPPE!! and i thought frappe meant "to strike"? my teacher always told me to strike the floor and suspend the pointed foot and then close?? this demonstration isnt strong enough!!

  • wtf? these are frappes not fouettes! and the "degage" she is talking about is a battement glisse. sheesh! get some training done, ppl!

  • fouette?

  • This is a Frappe not a Fouette god these people are idiots.

  • To the expert ballerina--

Merci, ballet goddess! It's now just short of impossible to make time for class. But if you want at least any part of life in ballet itself--you gotta make time.

But to make time for class nowadays? Just like the rest, I'm busy... not just busy, I've no more free time. You gave all budding dancers the greatest gift of all.

You actually gave us ballet classes, free of charge on YouTube. We're eternally in your debt.

--See you in class, Dane Youssef

  • holy shitttt... stopp!!! omg.1) you cant learn ballet from the internet 2) thats a frappe as has been previously stated 3) thats a BAD frappe 4) dont teach when your not professionally trained... please... its wasting ppl's money..

  • cosa!?!?!? questo è un insulto!!!!! O.o

  • Okey i think you dont know what you are talking about, if I do what you say i´m a idiot!!!! sorry really

  • why exactly does this say Fouette? It REALLY doesnt help with the credibility of the studio. I cant tell if she is saying fouette or frappe, and they just said it wrong on the description?

  • all their videos have wrong terminology... 'fouette' she's TRYING to do a frappe! ... also failing, 'frappe' means 'to strike' and the accent is at the end, in the air... these are even and my teacher would yell at us if we did them like that!

  • i just need to know the real way to do this for a audition. i dont have time / money for classes when i can learn ...i have experience ....

  • @FuturisticShawti

the real way would be years of training. and not watching this trash. lol

  • @FuturisticShawti just for kix has videos online they are good trust me ballerina all my life

  • frappe means to strike, not brush...

  • frappe means to strike, not brush....

  • your title says fouettes, but your teaching frappes.

  • yo SaMoPeace247 go fuck of.

    I'm not spelling ballet.

wont a fight fucking bring it.

  • yer it would

  • If you are going to teach people online it helps if you know what you are talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • first of all...you spelled ballet wrong its not ballay its ballet..i sure hope your not a ballet dancer casue that would be sad if you cant spell ballet right.

  • im sure you dnt take ballet. well, if you do, its kinda depressing, since you spelled ballet REALLY wrong. only a dumbass would mess tht up. kaay? byee :)

  • e qst sarebbe esprta o mio dio !!!! se lei è esperta io sn la dea della danza

  • yeah... wrong title.....

  • uhhhh this is kinda confussing cuz i wanna start ballet but she saying something different to what it is in the title?!!!

  • DONT START BALLET WITH YOUTUBE. GO TO A FRICKIN STUDIO. if your using this as a guide, your shouldnt be doing dance in the first place...

  • fouette my ass

  • fouettes?! wrong title...

  • this makes me want to kill myself

  • It's FOUETTE in the title, but what they're teachingg are frappes.

  • WHY THE HELL does is say 'fouette' ????????????????????????????????

anyone who dances would know this is a FRAPPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    'Expert' Village MY FOOT!

GOD remove this before some un-educated dancer see's it an goes and does the wrong thing. GOSH.

  • haha i know huh XD thats so stupiddd!

  • @toastertube these expert village videos have always been shocking!!!

  • ooh god u r right!!i can not believe what i just saw...its horrible...she is NOT doing fouettés and she is not even doing the frappés right!!if u know a bit about ballet u can understand it but it would ruin the technique of smone who doesn't know ballet!!

its just HORRIBLE remove it KNOW...

omg what an expert of dance...

  • @toastertube she says that they are frappes in the video.

  • @toastertube Even she says these are frappes...

  • @toastertube maybe she missed spelled it

  • WTF? Fouettes are turns! And definatly not a beginners exersise! What shes doing is Frappe! WHOA

  • this is so wrong it's actually hilarious

  • the one person who said it should be wrapped around the ankle is incorrect ...sur le cou de pied is not a wrapped position....it looks like she is doing r.a.d frappes which are not wrapped i dont know about russian though.

  • The Move that you are doing is not a fouette and a fouette is not a beginner step! Trust me I know

  • I thought frappe's wernt a swish? i thought they were a beat into the ground? i may be wrong. im no professional. ?

  • i know Frappes are not a swish. they are a beat or a strike, because 'frapper' in french means 'to strike' :)

  • okay umm this is WRONG a frappe is supposed to be in sur la coupe de pied which means on the neck of the foot so her foot should be wrapped around the ankle and next time expert village! get someone that actually knows how to do ballet and isnt fat to demonstrate it

  • hey!!! they don't even know how the spelling. i was looking for FOUETTES!!!!!!!!!

  • How did frappe get into fouatte?

  • really how can you say in the title its a fouette when you say in the video it is a frappe?

  • i was looking for the title FOUTTE not FRAPPE

  • Pointe with overweight is basically a question of strengthening your body more and avoiding overexertion. I agree you will not see any large role in a ballet company if you can not work with a partner or "blend in", as ballet dancers are mostly supposed to be uniform in looks. The thing is, the legs of an overweight person are stronger than a skinny persons, since they need to carry more. It's simply a question of body strength to match, as in every form of dance. Only lifts would be harder.

  • it's not exactly traditionally to be skinny. i have seen the olden ballet videos..and there are a few plump ones as the lead dancers too

  • connie hale what the hell are you doing hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • first of all this is not fouettes! and sencond she isn't even doing the frappes rite! gos i hate ppl who are doing an instructional video and the person who is teaching doesn't even kno how to do the move/step they are teaching other ppl!

  • i like ur comment

  • me? if yes then thank you!

  • @rocluzo She isn't doing right because the right way to do it would be to actually "strike" the floor correct?

  • @jazzylexi109 correct

  • haha i love how they didnt teach fouettes at all XD

  • Why is it frappes? Every ballet dancer knows how to do frappes!!

  • ok, i see the point your trying to make. and fine, weight does have something to do with ballet like when the guy lifts you up, but thats just about it. she can do anything else a skinny ballerina can do. especially a simple frape.

  • my bad.. was meant to click the APPROVE hand..not the other one..

    sorry..

but i do agree n ur comment.

  • what the hell.

every idiot knows how to do a frappe,

i thought this was supposed to be about fouettes?

  • yeaaa i was asking the same question where are the god dam fouettes? they are called frappes i dont think this lady knows what shes even talking about and firstable this goes for EMZRUCKO you have to be thin for ballet fat doesnt help u to be flexiblee if u know someon who iss hit me up cuz i want to know hahahah

  • i dont think thats true its a new day and age and know dancers are all shapes and sizes yes, the majority is skinny but hey times are changing

  • WTF? why is this vid called fouettes if its about frappes? and as well when she had her foot in fifth and started doing glises and said they were some other thing? she needs to buy the ballet dictionary from the RAD ;)

  • i was about to say the same thing you read my mind

  • does everyone who leaves a comment here do ballet, and is a girl (curiosity purposes)? i am.

btw, those frappes where nicley demonstrated. and i disagree with you thatregal, maybe the ones that you see on TV are skinny, but in my dance class, there is one girl who is a lttile chubby but she is an amazing dancer. Her feet are the most beutiful thing you will ever see. much better dancer than me. so weight has nothing to do with ballet. some stupid critics think it is . but we know its not.

  • You all need to get lives. You all think you're better than her because you're thinner than her... I don't see you all posting videos on YouTube and teaching dance classes. You don't know who she is or what her life is like. Shut the fuck up, she did the steps perfectly.

  • she did not exactly did it properly. frappe means to strike yet she used to the word brushed, and it is wrong. and when u do a frappe and strike a floor, it should make a sound as u hit the floor.

about what u said about being skinny, yes i am skinnier than her but i am still considered quite fat. anyone who takes ballet classes can see that she is teaching the wrong things. it looks correct but like i said, instead of strike, she said brush.
