@Zenkka the concept of the game is simple and to become an average player all you need is speed, stamina and co-ordination. But to be any better than Average you need to have a very strong mentality and reading of the gameplay. You need to be very skillfull and have excellent control over the ball. Playing even in a semi-professional league is somthing that requires utmost fitness and a very high amount of talent. There is a lot more to being good at Football than just fitness.

Only an ignorant, uneducated fool would think that soccer doesn't require you to be an outstanding athlete. But Europeans could be a little nicer and acknowledge the same goes for American sports, yes, even the NFL.
Sure a lot of NFL players are BIG, but they're athletic. They are required to run. Also, NFl DOES use the foot, for kickoff, punting, and field goals. it's also legal to actually USE your feet as long as the ball doesn't touch the ground. You just never see it. I mean, why bother.
I'm actually not sure where a lot of the hate for American sports comes from. they evolved from UK sports...baseball in particular. NFL is similar to Rugby if you don't point out the little things like size of the field and shoulder pads.
I think what is missing is the point of a lot of American sports isn't so much the game. It's more or less an excuse to go out, have fun, and eat lots of delicious junk food ( As we Americans are experts in ) It's recreation, pure and simple.

NFL: The decisions of the refs are correct. The teams are balanced, everyone can write history. No matter how is your physique you can be useful. But. Football is too complicated for the most of the peoples, there are a lot of rules. To play it you need for expansive protective gears, and the special pitch is also necessary. And the soccer is more spectacular. And the action in the football is short, its not continuous. And this is the main reason why its never gonna be popular elsewhere.

The reason why the soccer is more popular is simple: its a simple game, you can play it everywhere. The game is fast but traceable. The rules of the game are easy.
But sometimes its very aggravating because of the cheating players. And because of the intensity of the game there is no "challange". So sometimes the decisons of the refs. are incorrect. And unfortunately the balance between the teams is not changing. Like the Yankees and Red Sox domination in the baseball.

@Zenkka the concept of the game is simple and to become an average player all you need is speed, stamina and co-ordination. But to be any better than Average you need to have a very strong mentality and reading of the gameplay. You need to be very skillfull and have excellent control over the ball. Playing even in a semi-professional league is somthing that requires utmost fitness and a very high amount of talent. There is a lot more to being good at Football than just fitness.

Only an ignorant, uneducated fool would think that soccer doesn't require you to be an outstanding athlete. But Europeans could be a little nicer and acknowledge the same goes for American sports, yes, even the NFL.
Sure a lot of NFL players are BIG, but they're athletic. They are required to run. Also, NFl DOES use the foot, for kickoff, punting, and field goals. it's also legal to actually USE your feet as long as the ball doesn't touch the ground. You just never see it. I mean, why bother.

I'm actually not sure where a lot of the hate for American sports comes from. they evolved from UK sports...baseball in particular. NFL is similar to Rugby if you don't point out the little things like size of the field and shoulder pads.
I think what is missing is the point of a lot of American sports isn't so much the game. It's more or less an excuse to go out, have fun, and eat lots of delicious junk food ( As we Americans are experts in ) It's recreation, pure and simple.

So the fact that basketball is incredibly popular in China, or that baseball has taken root in many latin American countries, Japan, the Philippines....a small but rapidly growing NFL fan-base in Britain and Australia ( By the way, the NFL will be returning to Wembley stadium for a third year in a row.

People get the conclusion that Americans hate football because nobody watches the MLS. But if they counted all the people that watched their favorite team from another country the outcome would be different.

wow, its common sense that if you dont have helmet and pads, you go for less painful tackles on yourself,(and therefore whoever you're tackling) the pads in american football allow you to go all out when you perform your take down. sports science tested this, a CB, who is considered a lightweight in football, hit much harder than a rugby player.

how is it shameful to just do what we do, theres nothing wrong with it, were not gonna change what we like just cuz everyone else likes it. also gridiron football and soccer football are so very different, there is no use trying to compare them together. baseball is a strong american tradition and will always be Americas Past-time, (that along with gridiron football)

no body said what americans do or like is wrong. what we do in our own countries is also special to us, don't talk like america is so special it's the only country with it's own unique stuff, like sports.
it's shamefull to be out of touch with the rest of the world and only care about yourselves and always think you're better than others. that's why many people around the world don't like you guys very much...because like you said...you "don't give the shit about the rest of the world".
