I've seen many comments on how she's not a big artist because she does covers. First of all, her voice is amazing, and even more, it has intensity, power, a combination not that easy to find. Second of all, she should be admired for making covers of great songs. It brings music that may have been forgotten by the newer generations back to life. The original 1901 of Phoenix is, in my opinion, hard to cover. So I don't think she made the right choice to cover this song, and that's why I don't like her version, it's a weak extract of the original.

I like Birdy's records, i'm not sure about 1901, it's not my cup of tea, but she does a great job of it, with all the other songs on the album, there is something for everyone to listen to, she has changed them to her outlook on music, which is really great, such a powerful voice and her piano playing is just wonderful, watch this space when she gets her guitar out and starts playing!
