Be brave and go forward, Eorlingas!!" It is urging them to battle. To name someone that may be a reference, but it is not necessarily a name...... Eorling could be a name, as it is the people.... coming from someone who has read the entire of the tollkien canon.

I love LOTR so much, I grew up with it - it does champion a number of tropes that are standard in today's literature and film (which is fine, because LOTR did the best job out of all of these). ASOIAF is a subversion of all of that...and it's well written too.

The anime style is used to make its characters appear much younger than they are. Its animation style is choppy and poorly detailed. It generally appeals to the terribly immature and the emo crowd. Disney appeals to a wide audience for its outstanding quality. Its animation has been, up till Dreamworks came around, unamtched. Music for the Disney films is composed by the best of the best (Hans Zimmer, Alan Menken, etc).
