Damn! I really want to read this, but I'm depressed because on Amazon, and any other site, it's ridiculously overpriced- not even kidding, the cheapest used copy was like $900! I really want to read this, but I cannot find any copies! As an obsessive phantom phan, I am crazed and panicking. No one can help me! There are no copies ANYWHERE!

How about you give it a chance..listen to the coney Island waltz and Till I hear you sing..they are amazing..and you think it has lost its magic, I have seen it 5 times in NYC and trust me it has not. 8 times a week thousands of people see it, and feel the magic of the music of the night and leave the theatre beaming or with a tear in thier eye.Or when the overture starts, people still feel that warmth and triumpth, so give it a chance...then critisize. Wicked was ripped apart before it opened

No they aren't. In fact, they are pretty low quality. same as 1000 different musical tehatre's song all aroung the world. Wouldn't recognize it if I hear it with others at once.

sure... that captivated my attention, i have to say. it sounds like a very-well written phanfiction, but i'm afraid it'll never make it big. the fact that the story ends where it did gives our imaginations a place to wander without a landing. it's the perfect ending and noone should ever officially change it.

I agree that the first one is a wonderful peice of musical theatre. but wouldn't you like to see what would happen after? I'm not saying it'll make it big either, and if it doesn't, well, then we still have the wondeful original to watch. But I for one, am very excited.

I just bought the book but I think that making a sequel is the worst idea imaginable. It ruins the whole story. I love the 2004 version of Phantom but the only thing wrong with it is that Erik doesn't die. He dies in the original book and I think that's the most beautiful part of it. It says that Erik can't live without Christine's love. He made his choice at the end of ALW version to let Christine go and making it go on destroys everything Erik stands for.

Is this supposed to be funny? The way the guy reads makes him sound sarcastic. The fact that the story sounds like bad fanfic smut doesn't help any. And you know that at the end of the original book Erik dies, right?
