  • Oh, I wish I knew about this before my mama passed away. She'd have loved to see this! I turned my family into H-Bomb followers. We'd walk into the club, the room, whatever & he'd work into the song somehow 'bout the dudes better look for some good lookin' women runnin' round. He hit on me, my mom, my sis, & my aunt in one night. We didn't know til we were riding home. Ages 18-60. He was a character & I adored him. (He loved his wife! He could just flirt good!) Miss you always H-Bomb!

  • h bomb used to babysit me when i was little. ha my mom used to babysit his son. went to his layout.

  • I lived in Cincinnati from '98-'00, playing with my dad's group Jerry & the Hipswingers. We knew H-Bomb and the Medicine Men pretty well. Played the same places, got double booked at Red Fish downtown once, and some of the horn players played with him and us. H-Bomb was a weird old dude but I dug him. He never spoke to me directly but after I sat in once passed a message via his bassist that I was welcome anytime. To be acknowledged by 'the old guard' is an honor. H-Bomb was one of a kind!

  • God bless him and keep him! One hell of a blues man

  • I worked at Burbanks Bar-B-Q in the Forest Fair Mall in Cincinnati, Ohio and I had the pleasure of working many nights when H-Bomb played. LOVED all the different colored wigs he'd wear. Never knew how popular the guy was outside of Cincinnati until after his death. He was amazing.

  • This man was a god. I count myself incredibly lucky to have lived in Cincinnati for several years, where I saw him play many times. Sorry I missed the premiere, but I absolutely must own the DVD!

  • Good luck with this film. I tuned H-Bomb's piano once while he sat on the couch watching "Matlock". It was one of the best times I ever had. By the time I left, he had given me a cd and we had talked about everything from pianos to Big Joe Duskin to fixing his coffee table. You had to be there.

  • I listen H-Bombs musicall the time but its so depressing to see him with such a bad band and him playing a keyboard. I bet if I saw him in the 50's It would have been amazing because his backing band would have been the real deal and not white guys faking it.

  • It is always sad when somebody is narrow-minded such as the idiot that made the comment above. To say that H-Bomb's backing Band is not the real deal is retarded. Not to mention the statment about having White Guys that fake it. White or Black, it makes no difference you idiot. I bet those white guys have more soul, not to mention Class than you will ever have!

  • he was a great musician. he really inspired me to play piano. did i mention he was my uncle?

  • @PyrotechnicTwinkie -your uncle?he was also my uncle; I've lived with him and his wife sada and three children(Terry, tara, and Ethen) In the early 70's.

  • wow.... what garbage

  • You're a fool if you're going to call the legendary H-Bomb Ferguson's wonderful music garbage.

  • Mr. Ferguson is an Inspiration. May he rest in Peace. My the blues keep on keepn on...

  • who the fuck is this guy?! I just googled facts on a hydrogen bomb, cuz my friend and I are debating, I say its' a catastrophic explosion (A-bomb style), he says it creates a rift in the atmosphere that clusters the molecules, thus resulting in it sucking away all the oxygen, so you basically choke in midair... someone plz tell meeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

  • This GUY is one of the greatest musicians who ever lived.

  • "who the fuck is this guy?!" Among other things, he's the guy who recorded the rock and roll song "Rock, H-Bomb, Rock" -- heard starting at about 2:10 here -- a couple years before Elvis Presley or Chuck Berry recorded anything.

  • he first started out imitating Wynonie Harris, but found his own sound later on.

  • Great storyteller and fun guy RIP! Met him in Holland on the famous RIP bluesestafette!

  • Great Memories of H-Bomb at the Pickle Barrel. I used to see him alot. He had a snake in his suitcase named Boo-boo. My brother and I helped him set up his piano. He was a real blues man to the core. What memories, what talent. We love him and will miss him greatly.

  • Rest in peace, H Bomb.

  • Yeah, the news of his death shocked and saddened me.

  • Unfortunately I can't make it to The debut but it will definitely be released on DVD?

  • John, Uncle Rich Kiley from the Natti calling from the hills of NH. Is it true HBomb has passed on?

  • Yeah he passed on a year ago. He was inducted into the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards hall of fame on November 18, 2007.

  • Sorry to hear it. The Old Cincinnati Blues crew is fading away. Many good memories. How do I find a copy of the DVD?
