i think this is a couple tours after the fake train record. i remember going to an unwound show at jabberjaw around the time of the 3rd record and they opened with dragnalus and it was unexpected and mind blowing. I'm not sure, but this may be the performance.

It was in one of the worst neighborhoods out there on east pico... abandoned lots with hobos burning bonfires and shaking you down for money to guard your car. I remember one of my friends went to the KFC after a show and they had bullet proof glass between the customers and employees, with some rotating door to facilitate the transaction. Yeah, I so don't fucking miss LA... good riddance. Now I am such a dork, I go to LA for Calprog... well, Whittier...

I work 6 days a week, and have band practices after work so it's been hard to find the time to do it. That's some great old footage! Was this '93/94? So glad I got to see 'em a few times back in the day. Now that Polvo's back together if Unwound were to reunite I'm not sure I could physically mentally or spiritually contain myself.

Vern was put on this earth to play bass. As a matter of fact, the whole band Unwound was sent from the future to give us a glimpse of what to expect. They were so far ahead of their time, Repetition will probably top the charts in 2015

And you have to see them live to understand how amazing Verns bass playing is, I think. It doesn't translate as well on tape, but live it's like a punch in the gut.
