@codismad4 just the cheapest oil - 20w 50 or something like that - i change it every 5000 km or so though

Should the engine be warm to start of with?

@007Mavric007 Not rely, although It helps with the draining process. If i have a cold engine i don't warn it up for an oil change.

Do you just pour the oil down the drain?

No No, don't pour it down the drain, keep your old oil containers and pore the old oil back into an old oil container. Collect them and when you have to many then find out from your council or government where to dispose of them.
