I watched Ray and Willie sing this live on Huckabee's TV show. Ray in his 80s and Willie in his 70s they still do a great job on this song.

I agree with the sentiments you expressed, CasherD! Most of the stuff I hear today that's called "country" reminds me of a mixture of rock & pop. Most of it certainly can't hold a candle to the classics of yesteryears like this one!

@CasherD And this song is the first to get people dancing to just a fiddle there in west texas...then when Bob Wills got enough money he hired a guitar player and re-recorded this song...and later yet, came the horns, drums, steel and the rest that comprised Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys

I have worn out two 8-track tapes of this albums and a few cassettes, but thank goodness it's on CD. This is one of the great country albums . . . I don't care how old it is. It's nice to see the appreciative posts. Wait until you hear these guys sing "San Antonio Rose."
