It irritates me how female musicians like Lana Del Rey are seen as talented and become famous because of it when the real talen like this is just pushed aside.
She is a great guitarist, and has amazing chilling vocals...but, no troll...
I keep thinking she's William Dafoe from Boondock Saints, and that she is going to kick me in the testicles repeatedly while war-crying. Cannot Unsee.
@LynnWellin Hahaha, I wish you knew me to appreciate how wrong that assumption is.
Concerning the music, I'd like to know what Anna's motivation was for the beginning of the song. It has a different kind of substance to it not found in the rest of this performance.
very fortunate to catch her at the Troubador last spring; one of the best shows i saw all year. What struck me the most, & is evident here, is the sense of dynamics. She's not afraid to whisper, and can certainly belt. Utterly compelling...you all captured them perfectly. Thank you!
this woman is quick with her hands

Is it wrong for me to think that this music reminds me a bit of The Doors? Anyways, deff loved that solo guitar intro.

The worst performance Anna Calvi has ever given. She should fire her manager for booking her such an awful gig.

Best female guitarist I've seen in a little while. Blues meets flamenco... meets gypsy jazz... meets an accordion? Too much going on!
