holy shit guy, i found out that if u disable the "Prince of Persia 4 effect" (the black outline on every object) it will increase a shit load of FPS

It should start at least. Might be some driver related problem. Install the latest drivers from Intel site. And the game might not run as expected.

Are you sure? Have u run the game once. If still u cant find it, then forget it. Just put the game in lowest settings through the menu and play. That config file doesnt give much change in FPS.

Also, I found that if you make a shortcut to borderlands.exe and add -swtnl to the end, it will improve FPS a little, but you need a fast processor.

swtnl is software TnL mode. Its the same as software vertex processing.

i'm on vista, if u search here there's a video about how to mod x3100, but i'll explain it to you briefly.. 1st u must download the driver u want in zip file, not the exe one, than search inside the graphic folder 4 a file name igdlh.inf, open this file using notepad or wordpad, then search in the bottom half of the file for number 256 or 512.. there's gonna be alot of it... then just change it to 758 or 1024 depending on your RAM size.. since i have 3GB, i change it 1024... hope this helps..

Hi. i have problem with this software vertex mode. I used Intel Display Management Tool 1.1 to run this game better, but with this i have only 3-4 fps more. My specs: x3100, core 2 duo 1,5ghz, 2GB ram, windows 7 professional x32

I don't know what is wrong.

The problem is with the processor. This tool enables software vertex mode, which means some graphics work is shifted to the processor so that the graphics unit can process more shader operations and increase FPS. But is the processor is slow, then there wont be major difference. Processors above 2.0GHz clock frequency will show some difference.

This game runs well if you have good processor. I have Core 2 Duo 1,5Ghz and I have 10fps ;/. It's good if you have 2Ghz and better.

Yes present day celerons are dual core, but still they are celeron. Its really difficult to make new games run good on celeron. But older games will run. I dont think Borderlands will run good.

Nope. Celeron is way too slow. Software Vertex Mode wont help in any way. Atleast a Core2Duo with 2.0 ghz is required. How old is this laptop?

But some old games will run good, new games wont.

Tried Gear of War. Its FPS increased a bit, but still jerks sometimes in some locations. I dont think its playable.
