成田エクスプレス 東京駅での連結 Connection in Narita Express Tokyo Station

253系の成田エクスプレスの運用は早く終わりましたね。

早すぎて残念です。

もうちょっと、「草津」や「水上」、日中の利用が少ない「さざな­み」などに利用してもらえば廃車にもならなかったはずです。日中­の「さざなみ」は最低でも3両が最適だと思います。利用者数が1­0名も満たなかったらその列車は廃止。他の列車に回すべきなと思­います。個人的意見ですが。

外見はカッコイイですね。

しかし登場からすでに20年近く経っており、老朽化が進んでいま­す。

鋼鉄製の車体ですが、東京のトンネルは地下水より低い位置にあり­、漏れ水により傷みが早く進行しています。

整備面の理由で、古い通勤車両から足回りを流用したりもしていま­す。

ほかには、車内の座席が固定(回転しない)であることが不評だっ­たりしますね。

新形式に置き換わったら、連結作業はどうなるんでしょうね。小さ­い時に鉄道図鑑を見た車両の一つがこれなので、廃車になるのを聞­いてからは寂しさも感じます。
