Really? All I saw was Cloud going to point A to B while getting into a fight perhaps, then flying through the air, then back home saying things like "I r nawt strong enoughz!". It's like a really lame teenager soap opera, except it's Final Fantasy VII so EVERYONE loves it somehow.

I completely agree with you about the over marketing of the game, final fantasy 7 has been dragged out the grave and paraded around. But having said that, I can appreciate that Tetsuya Nomura as an artist worked on a crisp and amazing japanese film. Most people forget that its actually Japanese and the cultures are extremely different, what you find cliche and boring, isn't to them.

I appreciate that Nomura is trying to make a good movie, but I can't agree that he's capable of making a Final Fantasy story/game. An FF story contains a group of characters struggling to save the world plus growing tremendously in the process.

Nomura completely changed Cloud into a silent depressing person, and he overhyped Sephiroth in this movie and Kingdom Hearts almost to an extent that I don't like him anymore. I know cultures are different, but he's changing everything that was good.

That would be like saying all film studios are being excessive by re-releasing older movies that aren't out for bluray but are on the DVD format. LESSON 1: The gist of it is, BluRay has more space/mem or whatever you wanna call it. Therefore, sEnix can add much more detail as they please. Whatever...that's what my brain cells tells me. I could be wrong, but I don't think so anyway.
