  • It really hurts me to see how they treated Queen. Almost as if she were scum.

  • lmao@ those bitch azz soldiers coming back to the south all beaten up! hahaha!

  • @saafari100 i was thinking the same lol

  • She should have went with those two guys. I look at it this way. If i was a woman/single/pretty/Black in those days I would have at least had people around me who i trusted and then would have left the plantation with those men who could have provided some protection. SHOOT I WOULD HAVE left that plantation..take a ship somewhere out of the USA. lmao traveled around...

  • those men look like cavemen lol

  • Lmaoooo those two guys were ready to BOUNCEEEEE!! THEY WERE LIKE PCEE

  • Lazy women! They rather have the same meal than just help queen get a chicken! Ugh!

  • Damn that was a slap in Queens face! She is his daughter and like that man told her, they were never going to except her as their own. She should get the he'll on and fast! I bet those ladies can't even cook for themselves. Lol

  • My, how the mighty has fallen. Look how the house and yard look compared to when Easter was alive and the slaves were there. The way James walked through the gates was funny as Hell.

  • My, how the mighty has fallen.

  • once upon a time when halle berry actually cared about acting

  • shes really dumb for staying shes too stupid

  • @golding56 She wasn't dumb, just naive. You have to understand that she wasn't accepted by black or white people. Her black family passed away, and since the white people were blood relatives and the war was over, she had hopes of them accepting her. She thought that if she made them need her, they'd love her, and I don't think she's dumb for that. The real Queen was only 8 or 9 when slavery ended and in her early teens when she left the plantation. She was just a lost lonely girl.

  • @watchalotovids i didnt kno that and ur right

  • I thought it was all Americans that were referred to as Yankees. Was there a nickname for Southerners in those days?

Please let me know but only if its not derogatory. x

  • @lamzy During the civil war, Northerners were referred to as Yankees and Southerners were called Rebels- hence they were 'rebelling' against the Union.

  • @paintmelovely haha. Ta! Fella

  • @lamzy I think I know what your saying. Nowadays, people outside of the U.S. refer to ALL Americans as Yankees or Yanks, regardless of what part of the U.S a person is from. (Like, I've heard that people from England, Ireland and Austrailia call Americans "Yankees"). But like I said, that's more of a modern day thing, but yeah back then only Northerners were called Yankees and the Southerns were called Rebels.

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN Yeah, in England we call all Americans Yankees. Thanks for clarifying matey.

  • @lamzy you know thats sorta offensive right? lol

  • lmbo! at 6:33 that man said "well you take care of yourself now you here..c'mon!" i feel him he was ready to GO!!!

  • @nequa0828 Your comment made me LOL!!! Hell, I woulda been same way- I woulda been like well, Queen I guess we see you later! We bout to bounce!!!

  • those people were just pure white trash (the Hendersons')

  • @Lyn7721 I can see now that you could get that from the miniseries. It's just portrayed so differently in the book. I read that before I saw this, and they left a ton out. But I see where you are coming from.

  • I truly love this miniseries...it's, in my opinion, Halle's finest performance. I consider myself lucky, although to have not been around when "Roots" first premiered, to have seen 'Queen" first run in '93.

  • How low is that! Two out of the three people she's serving are her flesh and blood and they still treat her like she's sub human.

The devil just keeps some people so blind!

  • she should of went off with the two guys...

  • @novanurse77 I agree that she should have went with thoso two guys but I guess she thought that they would eventually accept her as family...she wanted their love so badly

  • @novanurse77-yea...and one of them was actually kinda cute. lol

  • @Lyn7721 Lots of slave owners had children with the slaves, but they could never and would never want to openly acknowledge them as their own family. They didn't even see black people as human back then. But I guess the black women were human enough to be raped.

  • @MiamiPush2theLimit That's because America had Jim Crow and one drop rule. But in Brazil if your father owned a plantation you still were allowed to inherit everything from him even if your mother was black. I surprised at how different racial segregation was there. But there was still a lot of self hatred for biracial people because they all wanted to become more portuguese by marrying into those families but they acknowledged their african ancestry even if they looked white.

  • instead treating her finally as his daugter

  • LOL!! What is Midnight velvet?? LOL

  • @nettaj282 like having sex with a very light skin girl

  • @nettaj282 uh he means BLACK PUSSY! Didn't matter how dark or light she was. She is STILL a "niggra" and seen as a slave!

  • @TalkNChitwTraCGmore Niggra to them or to you.

  • @MJObeefanforlife bitch I'm black don't start no shit. Ion get down with Caucasians nor their mutant offspring. FOH

  • "she's a high yella" LOL

she would be what you call "red"

It's so annoying how people these days love the throw those terms around and can't even get em right... they call any light-skinned person "red."

  • He didn't even acknowledge Halle Berry. He walked right pass her, and she is the only person that actually chose to stay. Doesn't he realize that she is his daughter?!!!!?

  • @bellalovato7558

He just doesn't care. It was a youthful moment of passion and their attitude towards the situation is most uncool but there it is.

  • @Crazydog7 Oh no hunnie. He cares. You probably need to read the book. But the Confederate people are the enemy now because the North won. If he acknowledges her in public, who knows what will happen? The south is hell bent on the fact that the slaves are the reason this war started, as much as they would like to dismiss it. Acknowledging her IN PUBLIC would go against fighting twice. And it wasn't a youthful moment of passion. If you read the book, they did it EVERY chance they got. Trust me.

  • @MonnamiePhannPhann you are 100% correct. It's been awhile since I read the book, but they were more direct in it. If I remember Easter and James spent a lot of time together even when he married.

  • @bellalovato7558 he does but she is a slave and he cannot show any affection towards a slave openly.

  • @kingojugo but Queen wasn't a slave anymore and he still never acknowlegded her

  • @bellalovato7558 He knew, but he was not gonna risk what little he had to acknowledge that fact! His neighbors would lynch him and Queen and what was left of his family...Grandma Sally was right to tell her to forget them...And go

  • @bellalovato7558 Not to them, she is just a product of sex with her mother that was left behind!

    -

    Queen should have left!

  • @Unity3000 And go WHERE, do WHAT, with WHAT MONEY?

  • finally sombody uploaded it thanx
