hey man i have no idea how to work the active eq. i just got one of these and the tone seems way less gainy then yours and its quite upsetting. can you run me through how you get yours that tight?
With an active EQ it's very important to start with everything at 12 o'clock, as this is the neutral point of the EQ. If you imagine the EQ running from -5 to +5, rather than 0 to 10, you'll soon realise you're maybe cutting everything way too much. The actual way an active EQ works is like a curve EQ - meaning, for instence, middle knob will also slightly affect bass and treble response, and so on. And remember, you want plenty of mids for a good gain sound!
Nice this is the on board distortion correct? I'm looking for an amp with the best distortion, cleans I am able to work out myself.
