ok i saw vonta leache's facemask and he has that U thing at the top. that's the only difference i noticed between his and yours. the one on the website didn't have the u thing tho

@SW4GGNIFICENT24 ya i know what u mean by the "bullring" i was saying about the actual bottom of the mask. the newer ones i've seen have more of a bend to them as to were my looks like a straight up bar. theirs tend to bend.

@SW4GGNIFICENT24 umm idk if i would say it scratches easier. i think its just more of if your laying the wood or down in the tranches. but i honestly wouldnt know. but as far as i see, my schutt barely has any scratches and i usd that in practice more than i used the revo but the revo is more beat up.

could you check the riddell website and make sure this is the exact same facemask as the G2BDC facemask they have on there? because the one you have in this video your outside two bars on the facemask are pointed outwards while on the website the bars look different. thanks dude much appreciated

@SW4GGNIFICENT24 this is the older version of this facemask. the newer one is one the website. players such as Vonte Leach FB for the Ravens wears the newer version of it if u wana see it.

I'm pretty sure this is the G2BDC facemask and not the G3BDU facemask. But anyway did you order it from the riddell website? and is that the standard revolution helmet, revolution IQ, or revolution IQ with hits helmet? thanks

Nice vid. My son plays JPW ball and just got a slight concussion and whip lash. Doc sidelined him for a week. Good thing they made playoffs. So... I been researching the Riddells and Shutts. The Riddells feel heavier and the padding just seems old school. I wouldnt drop money on the Speed or the Ion since he would most likely grow out of it in a couple years. I do have question though... if hes a sz small and I went with an Shutt XP air or DNA pro+ would I be able to go one size up and adjust

@SydeshowMO ya i agree with the Riddells feeling heavier and also the pads are old school-ish. I would buy the Speed for looks honestly. If u were you and since hes a growing boy. I myself would maybe buy one size larger.... buy just pump a bunch of air into the pds on the inside to protect better. also so u get ur moneys worth instead of him being a "small" one season and the next season hes a "medium"

@SydeshowMO I'm a youth football coach/responsible for choosing equipment.YES, you can upgrade pads to gradually increase the size of his helmet. The helmet Shell for sizes xs-m is the same for most Schutt helmets therefore all you'd have to do is change the inner liners to go from S-M. However, the cost of the inner liners is HIGH! Buying an "AIR" model will make it easier and less expensive but it's not gonna make it fit if his head grows a full size larger. FYI Schutt is best helmet

Hey bro, I know what you mean about the getting poked in the eye thing. I have a Schutt AiR XP helmet with a receiver's facemask was a lineman, I got poked in the eye like 4 times already by people who can't get lower than me. Playing some dirty ass schools here.

Oh for those who are wondering why I got a receiver's facemask, my school's a low budget school that barely has anything so I got receiver's helmet.

@BLACKMAGIK10 corner, i wouldnt recommend it. but maybe for a power back like a fullback. but i've seen RB's in college use this facemask so i wouldnt see why not. =) hope it helped.

@808JapaneseBoy well i look it like this, the schutt is a little it more comfortable becuz the padding kinda feels like gel... so the more comfortable prolly the more protective so imma say the Schutt, but there aint nothing wrong with the revo.

@DerrickT94 I got the facemask from my school. And i just checked Riddell.com to see if they have this face mask and they do. Its in the "G-Bar" collection, its the last facemask on the page if you scroll down. And buy newer ones do you mean the revo speed or like how the custom made old school facemasks like the one on my schutt to be put on a revo?
