If he blocked he would've been thrown. even if you do block, which way should you block??? lol Always gonna be some risk & in this situation it was only analyzing 2 'turns'. On his last turn he did 'this' so on his next one...etc. It DOESNT look at the entire picture which is, does he have a 'habit' of doing it. Flowcharts ppl lol

@ThouShallParry Had he blocked at that specific point in the video, he wouldve been ok. Sure he couldve been thrown, but he also couldve teched the throw, and so on and so on. My point was mix ups happen no matter what. Its apart of any fighting game. I'm not sure what your saying here.

@Galkatokk Funny, you say that's why it is shit but in reality the fact that it is a guessing game is what makes it good. The fact that you call it a guessing game means that both players have various viable options in nearly any given situation. If you don't like having to guess and/or make educated reads, why even play against a human opponent in any competitive game at all? That's what they are about. Even in Chess you have to make guesses, good, educated guesses but guesses nonetheless.

Yes, there are guessing games in other fighters, but only as a reward to the aggressor for having gotten through his opponent's zoning and footsies. In 3S, these elements are hugely downplayed.

And no, unless both players are picking Chun Li, they don't both have various viable options. I only need to refer you to top 8 tournament results for the past several years. All Chun Li.
