She's still alive at the time I'm posting this, ''sand', but WAS operated on to remove cancer tumors in 1968, and treated for cervical and uterine cancer five years later. John Wayne also endorsed Camel in print and on TV at the time, and he died of the "Big C" in 1979.
I sure hope it didn't affect her singing.
