Here's a question if I have an AMD based board at the moment & buy these will they work in dual channel mode? I need more RAM then what I currently have & I'm probably going to upgrade to a system that has a better CPU down the track that could potentially have support for quad channel. It would be nice if I could buy RAM that could be used in both systems.
@TheMrbitchassnigger stand only supports 23".... and didnt bought my pc my father did so i dodnt have money for bigger.... and they are the only 23" 3d compatible with amd hd 7970 so.... not fail.... rich ass father
@lynxloco lmao you cant even type proper English yet you claim i have low IQ as your last line of defense because i exposed you as a welfare faggot that wishes he has a good pc lmao owned!!!!
@Davy2612 not strange for my shittie laptop witch i bought on my own. my other pc is no record only because my father paid it ($8500 dollar) and my monitors are on a stand witch only supports 23".....
@lynxloco I can't really justify spending that much on a PC when a PC at a fraction of the price could play games at 3x 1080p just fine. I would be satisfied with one 7970 to drive 3x 1080p screens, if not 2 in crossfire would have been more than enough. Having 4 on the other hand is just plain foolishness... At least upgrade to 30inch monitors. Your just some kid bragging about his Dad's overpriced PC... also tell your dad I said he is an idiot -_-
@mass3gf yah but memory doesn't work using threaded cores so the CPU is still much more powerful. CPU takes input and gives output, RAM just temporarily archives a sequence into memory and then wipes itself and resets.
@themrbrown510 that will come very soon. Actually I see that happening later this year into next year. maybe some day AMD will start putting in more threads, if they did that then they would PWN Intel no doubt. Imagine 16 core processors with 12 or more threads !
@themrbrown510 that will come very soon. Actually I see that happening later this year into next year. maybe some day AMD will start putting in more threads, if they did that then they would PWN Intel no doubt. Imagine 16 core processors with 12 or more threads !
i dont get it, why with triple channel mobo's you have 6 slots, dual channel mobo's you get 4 slots and quad channel you only get 4 slots? or atleast it was like that on the 2011 board he unboxed the other day. Can i use my 8Gb dims on the quad channel motherboards?
in quad channel 8 slot boards each channel gets 2 slots.
in dual channel 4 slot boards each slot gets 2 channels and the same thing goes for tripple channel 6 slot boards.
the reason they dont put 8 slots on all x79 boards is becuase they take up space on the board. also for high end gaming boards they make overclocking harder.
@unlaughable Yes it did thank you and 1 more thing. Will the new quad channel motherboards the ones with 8 slots. Can it take 8Gb dims? I want to get around 16 more Gb of ram but im not sure if it will recieve my 8Gb dims so i need to know before i get a 2011. If they do take 8Gb dims do they only support 32Gb of ram?
@unlaughable =D thats good to hear and no i just need more than 16 and i don't want to have 3 dims in a 8 dim motherboard so why not get 4 of them. i always max out my 12Gb i have currently. Thanx for the information, appreciate it greatly!
@BassDemon420 quad channel means the computer puts parts of everything on the 4 sticks so it's 2 times faster then dual that puts parts of everything on 2 sticks and 4 times faster than single where everything is on 1 stick.
( theoretically it should be a lot faster but you can hardly see the difference in normal use)
product spotlight = new ?? like almost ALL of your videos do exactly what the definition of your new product spotlight videos will do. right ? i mean if its just me I'll shut-up but i couldn't help but notice
ehm my question might seems stupid but what does ram effect like if i got 4 gb and then 8 gb what thing will effect the speed of pc or what?and will it be that much diffrent?
@frostr1 Rendering programs benefit. But yes most games and everyday application wont really. They may feel slightly more responsive. But for those that like to overclock (bragging rights, challenge, benchmark guru) there is no harm in doing so besides spending a little extra
Is it normal for a build to turn on and off repeatedly without a cpu? I just turned it on to see if it works (Still waiting for my cpu to arrive) and it would turn on and off repeatedly.
@Martinx88813 Its not that hard to do basic overclocking, just to get alittle more power out of your cpu or gpu will go a long way... Heavy overclocking takes some time but just the basics is really easy...
I soo much want your job. I sold PC hardware at the forums before 3-4 years and now I'm working at the IT but your job is way funnier than mine! I was more happy 5 years ago when i was doing funny stuff like this PC at petrol tube. :P

@assassin26764 Technically, no. Although it may be listed as 2400mhz, it's actually 1200mhz memory, but at double data rate (DDR).
Though really, faster memory really doesn't make any difference in terms of performance. 1333mhz is perfectly fine for pretty much anything.
