@Bloodywarrior96 some people make pures for fun and a challenge but back in the old days pures were mostly made for the purposes of PKing and dueling in order to get large sums of cash to then buy items with, either for their pure or for another account they are working on. If u can make millions in just a few minutes of dueling then buy pricy mats on another account to level skills faster its actually a great method for building up a character since u dont have to care for money.

Given that you can have 99 hp at 25 combat, you can most certianly have 60 defense @ level 18 (not 17). I could have been level 13 @ 40 defense if I didn't get any hitpoints exp. If you were to have lv. one in all other combat stats, except hitpoints (at level 10) and you had 60 defense, you would be combat level: 18.15, so level 18.

Eh.. it is possible, heres what you need to do:

First, don't actually train defense through combat, use all quest rewards (quests that grant cmb exp that you can choose) onto defense.

Second: Choose experience lamps for all random events, use them on defense.

Third: Do penguin hunting every week, put all experience into defense.

Really, it's not that difficult, this video was way before penguins and exp lamps as random event awards, I was also F2p, while I could wait for lamps, I trained

combat only using defense mode, which is why my combat level is so high for only having 40 defense.

Still, I would reccomend that if you try this, make sure you wear a bow with no arrows before whenever you can, to prevent accidental damage &/or leveling.
