  • I thank the FSM and IPU that people like you are allowed to speak your minds unobstucted

  • I want things please

  • LOVE CUBE!!!

  • Im a Christian and i see nothing wrong with stem cell research

  • I hate the police. They do nothing to help

  • What's wrong with milk? :(

  • @heirkraft growth hormones in USA milk

  • QOTD: I think that the craziest story was the one about he police for the same reasons as you phil. But I think the consequences that you gave this man isn't severe enough. I believe that he should either be in jail his WHOLE life or possibly he may have to give up his life for this one. Love ya Phil :)-3

  • Cool

  • @NonnyMus1 i find it hilarious that everyone seems to be against you. you lash out like a cornerd animal, lol! you claim to have all this knowledge, but u dont seem to be able to prove it. abortions can cause breast and uterus cancer, future miscarages, and the woman is more likey to have trouble with future pregnancies, and her children are more likely to suffer from dissabilities. you're ignorant, pompus, and narrow-minded. but God still loves you, so i send you my agapa love thru him.

  • @7613Summer Do realize that while there is no evidence against religion, there is also no evidence against invincible pink unicorns. Just because there is lack of evidence against something, does not make it any more right or any less silly.

And while there is evidence that Jesus existed, there is also evidence of Muhammad existed. Just because these people exist, does not make their claims valid. At all.

  • @7613Summer I also find it funny that you said science cannot prove anything, but there is irrefutable proof of Jesus. Isn't that a bit contradictory? One of those two statements have to be wrong, unless there is some unheard of way to absolutely prove something not involving science.

  • "Fullerton County?" It's Orange County.

  • lets celebrate lets go to this place called mickey D's

  • i havent eaten at Mc Donalds in 5 years<3

    Accomplishment c:

    woooo

  • @toulouise666 you are right, instead of being carefull we first need to like explode the half USA continet before saying; o shit we better be careful with bumbping atomic particels we not know EVRYTHING about. In that case, it willbe uttely to late.

  • @CmmDmm Actually the tests will be taking place in Europe. Fyi

  • Philip, please do tell us why Milk is not the best thing for you. Really curious about that now!

  • @killsomething2 pkd.

  • World better not end in december im going to see my grandma, havent seen her in 10 years.]:(

  • World better not end in december im going to see my grandma, havent seen her in 10 years.. :(

  • AWE THANKS!!!! I love your face too!!!

  • i think once they find that particle, it will become unstable and that will be the end of this world, the subatomic particle is gonna gain mass rapidly, aaaand pretty much atomic bomb the world... a flash of blinding light and..poof

  • Come on man, you are usually intelligent!

Using the retarded expression "The God Particle" is just moronic speak for the uneducated masses!

Its called the hypothetical Higgs Boson, that would be the force carrier for gravity, particle physics/standard model much?

To believe that the LHC is EVER going to cause anything bad is beyond retarded, cosmic rays have more energy & are colliding with particles ALL THE TIME & yet NOTHING has happened yet, so worrying about this is mentally defective...

  • its amazing how stupid people are these days... some of these stories just baffle me...

  • who is scared of police now? I think i will run away the next time i see one.

  • Holy shit he got fucked up!

  • I am very intrigued by the news you cover. I have stumbled across your videos and watched like 10 today. The only thing is ... you sound the same in every video. Kind of annoying. But interesting news. I will click click.

  • @nonnymus1 I am a woman and I'm not for abortion. I will never get one, I don't care if a person had one because (of my inner Disney) hakuna matata but I would never condone one. So don't you dare say that women know better becausenthey want an abortion. I try the method of keeping my legs closed. It's worked for me so far.

  • @iwishiwuzbella It's not a good idea to say, 'never' when you are only 16! You don't know what the future has in store for you, so keep your options open. Not all women are you, so let them make their own decisions, even if those decisions are not the ones you would make.

There are many situations where 'keeping my legs closed' fails. Please learn about basic reproductive biology, birth control and morning-after contraception so you can make better decisions if you have to.

  • @NonnyMus1 i can say never because i know what i believe. and i dont care what the future has in store for me. if i get raped tomorrow and if giving birth to the baby has a chance of killing me, well so be it. because that means my destiny was to die giving birth.

how does closing your legs not work? if you dont have sex, you cant get pregnant.

and i already took bio and i know all about birth control and all that and i go to public school.

  • @iwishiwuzbella That kind of stuff is easy to say at age 16. It's a lot harder to live. And no, you don't know "all about" birth control. I certainly hope you know enough to make informed decisions. Abstinence fails in may ways. Kids become infatuated, think the other is 'THE ONE' and have sex, kids are manipulated into sex, maybe forced to have sex. Since our sex drives are basic and powerful, it's a good idea to have as much information as possible. I hope you have that.

  • @NonnyMus1 yes. yes i do know all about birth control. i even know why Margaret Sanger even created birth control. do you?

ONCE A-FLIPPIN-GAIN, if you don't have sex, you CANNOT get pregnant. Unless it is through immaculate conception. then you can tell me i am wrong.

i do not have 'the one' that i am infatuated with, and no one is manipulating/forcing me to have sex. i live in a good, upstanding neighborhood. in america. i dont live in a country where girls are married at 11 and are forced.

  • @iwishiwuzbella I remember this "know-it-all" stage from my daughter's teens. She had enough science smarts to temper it, but was still dangerously arrogant. Please try to realize that life can get complicated, even in good, upstanding neighborhoods, and that hormones rage at your age.

Surely even you can agree that you can't accurately predict the future, so keep your options open and learn as much as you can. I wish you the best.

  • @NonnyMus1 my hormones are in check thank you very much. i have no plans to have sex in high school. there is no one i would want to have sex with. and i would not do it just for the hell of it. i pride myself at being a virgin at the age of 16, because everyone wants to lose it by age 15.

and abstinence does work. if you have sex because s/he is the one, its not abstinence.

  • @iwishiwuzbella Again, surely even you can agree that you can't accurately predict the future, so keep your options open and learn as much as you can.

  • @NonnyMus1 woman doesnt mean age, a woman is a female that has the ability to have children. so basically, once a girl gets her period, she is officially a woman. woman and adult are different things. and i let people make their own decisions. what i said was that i would not condone someone getting an abortion tomorrow. i wouldnt agree with it, but who am i to stop you if that is what you really want?

  • @iwishiwuzbella Sorry, but you can't just make up your own definitions of words. Having your period means you have reached puberty and are probably fertile. Being a woman means being an adult female. Right now, you're a fertile female teenager.

I'm glad to hear you respect the choices of others! Keep up the good work.

  • @NonnyMus1 sorry, but what is an adult and what is a woman are two different things. And adult is what the law states--that you are an adult at 18. but woman is when you get your period and have the ability to get pregnant.

  • @iwishiwuzbella Again, you can't make up definitions for words. You're an adolescent, not an adult. In the US, legally, someone isn't a full adult until age 21. At 18, you can vote, join the military, legally consent to sex with older people & get married (except in NE). At 21, you are free of parental control & can legally sign contracts, drink, adopt children, buy property, control your investments and more.

Enjoy your adolescence while you can since it can be a better than being an adult!

  • @NonnyMus1 what part of woman and adult are two different things dont you seem to understand? what you described is an adult. woman has its own definition. you are a woman when you become an adult, but you have been a woman for some time.

  • @iwishiwuzbella Sigh. You'll understand when you are older. You aren't a woman. You are a female adolescent. They're two different things.

  • @NonnyMus1 and i wont take birth control. if i did take it but i want to stop and have a kid when im like...25, my chances are already lower because some birth control methods lower fertility when you are not taking them (since they obviously lower the rate when you are on them)

and i believe when side effects outweigh the positive stuff about a product, i dont take it.

and the stem cell thing from oh so long ago, well, that was from the news.

  • @iwishiwuzbella I'm assuming you are talking about birth control pills. You may be believing rumors again since they do not lower fertility long-term. They may lower fertility for a couple of months after you stop taking them as your body adjusts, but not long term.

The stem cell thing is very much of the moment as research into stem cells holds great promise for cures of such diseases as Parkinson's, PKD (which Phil D. has), Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, cancers and more.

  • @NonnyMus1 ahem, i did say SOME birth control pills. I'm not saying every single one, because that would be a lie. Some of them do.

And it is the adult stem cells that are holding such great promise for these diseases.

  • @iwishiwuzbella Again, adult stem cells can't currently be cultured (that means kept alive and multiplied in an artificial setting). They are also not pluripotent, which means they cannot differentiate into any tissue, but just the type of tissue they are harvested from.

Please read the NIH site on stem cells and believe that over THE NEWS. Seriously, NIH is a better source of information about science than THE NEWS. Just for one, it is run by scientists, not journalists.

  • @NonnyMus1 Oh, and my mistake that saying embryonic stem cells dont procure any results. they do. just not positive ones. again, FROM THE NEWS.

  • @iwishiwuzbella I'm pretty sure you misuderstood THE NEWS report. Embryonic stem cells have great promise, but there hasn't been any real results yet. THE NEWS may have been reporting a specific failure.

If you want to learn more about stem cells, NIH has a great primer at stemcells .nih .gov /info /basics

  • @iwishiwuzbella I realized that you are the same commenter who believes rumors as if they are fact. Avoid doing that! Make sure your information is coming from unbiased, reputable sources. If you're going to public school, believe that info. If you're going to religious school, realize that that info from school is going to be biased by doctrine & taboos. For your own sake. always check your sources for accuracy!

And you are a teen, not really a woman yet because you aren't an adult yet.

  • My mom didnt give me mcdonalds till i was in 3rd grade. and i now only eat it once a week

  • @jacobwaffles I love McDonald's. Especially when their fries are oh-so-fresh and sloshed with the perfect amount of salt. Mhmm.

    Yes, I am serious.

  • You're so levelheaded

  • The weirdest story is the one where I got filled in....

  • stem cells come from embryos..where do u get embryos? aborted babies..

  • @pyroVoid And your point would be....? If it is that more abortions happen because of stem cell research, that's like saying more fatal motorcycle accidents are caused by organ donor programs!

Just sayin' that there is absolutely no cause and effect here. The women are going to end their pregnancies no matter what. Stem cell research uses the results of those abortions.

  • 6:54 I phone or some deal moves like 6 inches in the left corner.

  • How come he censors the F word when introducing the segment, but not in regular dialogue? :S

  • @budd16 Because he can!

  • @NonnyMus1 Fair enough. Lol

  • so what happens if they find nothing? does it disprove god?

  • The reason religious people are against it is cause scientists don't know when to stop. Where's the line you can not cross? Sure, go ahead and help people who are sick, but NO CLONING

  • @7613Summer The reaason religious people are against it is because they don't and won't understand the science behind it. Even cloning is used to cure disease. It's not the type of cloning that you see in horror movies, but horror movies are notoriously bad at getting science right!

For genetic analysis, human DNA is cloned to magnify the number of strands. Is that evil? Is that 'going too far'?

  • @NonnyMus1 yes, it is.

  • @7613Summer I sure hope you are never the victim of a crime where there is DNA evidence, then!! Or you never have a pregnancy or cancer or an autoimmune disease or... the list goes on and on.

  • Phil you sounded horribly ignorant of why some people hold the views they do on stem cell research. There is a legitimate philosophical question here you don't seem to be aware of at all... Please look into where stem cells used in research come from before you judge those who oppose this kind of thing.

  • @JayKayDanks I assume you are referring to abortion. Legal abortions women are going to have anyway, right? The 'legitimate' philosophical question to which you refer is how religionists can control women's bodies, right?

  • @NonnyMus1 no, thats not how religion works. i'll pray for you "NonnyMus1", and hopefully your hate for people who have something to believe in will lead you to research. and research will help you find and end to your hate, and i pray that it will also bring you the knowledge of the love of god. im not saying that the world isnt f*cked up, it is, but we (people) did that. just saying, haters hate, and everyone's a hater. just, please, be an informed hater...cuz then u wont hate :/ its up to you

  • @7613Summer LOL!! I don't hate, I'm dismayed by religious ignorance and intolerance. Since I've done more research in one year of work than you have done in your entire life, I'm going to urge YOU to learn about what research is and to do some.

Just be an informed hater, because then you won't hate desperate and unhappy women who don't want to bear children they don't want or which will be horribly unhealthy after birth or which might kill them! :/ It's up to you.

  • @NonnyMus1 I wasn't going quite so far as to make this an issue of either women's rights or religion. The philosophical question I'm asking is do you really want to prolong your own life using parts of an unborn human life that somebody else chose to end? Organ donation is different, people dying is a part of life, but this was somebody's conscious choice. Do I have any right to tell that person what choice they should have made? No. Should I benefit from that decision? It's a valid question.

  • @JayKayDanks Sure. If I had to, I'd accept a donated organ, also. Those are parts of an human life that somebody else, the next of kin, chose to donate. Abandoned IVF zygotes, embryonic tissue and fetal tissue from abortions would be destroyed if not used. Just as the organs of brain dead people were destroyed in the past because religionists were all up in arms about the integrity of the body, mainly because of the Second Coming (I kid you not). Why not get some good from them?

  • @NonnyMus1 umbilical stem cells are much more abundant, last longer, and DON'T kill embryo's. i did what you asked: i did research. science can not prove anything, only disprove. and there is no scientific evedence agianst God. there is, however, irrefutible proof that there was a Jesus. you are sadly misimformed, and a closeminded athiest. religion (at least mine) does not "control" women, it impowers them. women are to be respected in the eyes of God.

  • @ObamaLovesYOU

    obama sucks!

  • People don't hate cops. just the bad ones. They are obviously bad cops and should get serious jail time.

  • QOTD: the craziest story today is the 63 year old man giving him self hernia surgery. Like really a butter knife? Do you really not own a steak knife? Or are you just to senile to know the difference?! What the f*ck old people?!!

  • @ihartcats5 Please don't overgeneralize. One crazy old guy doesn't make all old guys crazy! Thanks!

  • It's amazing how many people say they hate the cops but when they actually need them all the hate goes away. People these days are absolutely FUCKING RETARDED

  • Those police officers should be charged with premeditated murder. They obviously went out on their shifts with the intention of beating the daylights out of anyone they could find that they figured wouldn't be missed. They knew exactly what they were doing and they probably took pleasure in it, knowing that since they were "the law" they could pretty much get away with murder with a slap on the wrist and a few less paychecks. Disgusting.

  • making french fries smaller makes them worse for you.

  • tazers are one of the most horrible things ever invented... every police officer who ever uses them should be killed. and if i ever see one doing this to me i will stalk him to find out his name and murder him. fuck the police! acab

  • only possibly jail time? weak sauce

  • I live right near Fullerton and this homeless guy used to hang out near my boyfriends work for years and always kept to himself and never bothered anyone. I hope that Fullerton PD will at least take some action against the officers who did this because to not do anything is terrible. This guy did nothing to deserve being beaten to death!

  • PORTAL 2 COMPANION CUBE ON TABLE!!!

  • apple slices and carrots are the only things that come with happy meals in Sweden. No cookies or apple pie or whatever else it comes with xP

  • Yea I live in arkansas and there are a ridiculous amount of racist redkneck trash. And apparently I'm a "race traitor" bcuz I don't hate black people. Sorry sore subject. But not everyone here is like that. I love u phil!

  • This guy is awesome. I like his videos. Guys check my videos. My latest ones are catching a lightning and also the funny push ups. Thanks and leave your comments.

  • im all for the study of a certain kind of stem cell research---the kind that does NOT kill unborn babies. yes. that did happen. that is why it was such a big deal. especially since that kind of research didnt provide any results, while the stem cell research using adult skin cells or a cotton swab from the cheek actually provided results.

  • @iwishiwuzbella A thousand times likeeee!!!!

  • @soapyjane thank you ^^

  • @iwishiwuzbella Np- I was really happy when I saw your comment b/c no one makes the distinction between embryonic and adult stem cells, and realize that only one has the ability to help people while the other just causes controversy and no results!

  • @soapyjane LOL!! More science talk from the scientific illiterate! Jane, stay in school, do your homework and make sure you take Biology!

  • @NonnyMus1 Hey, I actually graduated with a degree in biology, so try again. I did research under a professor with tenure, as well as my own thesis. Oh, and I graduated with honors, too.

  • @soapyjane Really? Why don't you show any of the scientific knowledge in your comments, then? What was the title of your thesis?

  • @NonnyMus1 I actually do, but you seem to just ignore it and call me names. Before I get into my thesis, what are your credentials since we are on the subject?

And why/how are you following me to this video anyway?

  • @soapyjane Really? When have you exhibited any scientific knowledge? I must've missed it! Could you remind me where you showed bio knowledge? Did you get your Bio degree from Bible college?

To answer your question, I'm an MD/PhD with 35 years of research experience in biomedical polymers. My Ph.D. thesis was on surface chemical ablation of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) to increase adhesion to adhesives.

  • @NonnyMus1 I have exhibited scientific knowledge very often actually, like when stating the biological differences between mother and fetus (and there are quite a few), and the fact that life does begin at conception, for example.

I did not get a degree at a "bible college" no-campus was secular.

My personal research involved determining if ethinyl estradiol (a chemical in birth control) , caused any negative external chromatic when exposed to male Lebistes reticulatus (a freshwater fish) .

  • @soapyjane There, that wasn't so hard, was it? It is interesting that you studied estrogen mimics because they are having a devastating impact on many fish and amphibian species. But I still don't think your general Bio knowledge is that good. Anyone can state the biological differences between mother and fetus (and was that the '10 fingers and toes' comment you wrote sbadly?). And your statement that 'life' began at conception was to claim that zygotes are persons. So, not so good, eh?

  • @NonnyMus1 You really just said nothing right there. Nothing.

  • @soapyjane LOL! It'd be more accurate to state that you comprehended nothing right there. Nothing! I do think I have it figured out. Your 'research' was on the negative impact of birth control pills on the environment, you kinda said your *campus* was secular (but not your college), you believe fervently that a fertilized egg is a person...my guess is that you went to a Catholic college and you are a hard-core catholic. That would also explain your intellectual arrogance & hypersensitivity!!

  • @soapyjane I had an odd moment free, so looked up your 'scientific' knowledge from that other video. You wrote, "we must define personhood at conception, when the egg and sperm unite to create a UNIQUE genetic code from both mother and father." Sure, most people know that sperm fertilize an egg (not 'unite') at conception and that a zygote has a unique genetic makeup. Not much of a display of scientific knowledge. Where you really appear ignorant is with declaring that a zygote is a person!

  • @NonnyMus1 What else is it? Is it a tumor? No. Is it a clone? No.

What could the zygote be? A duck? No. Cow? No, that is not right either, and do you know why? They are HUMAN cells that are neither an exact copy of either the mother or the father. Sure, the mother carries the zygote/fetus/baby in her womb, but it is different from the rest of her body. the zygote divides its own cells to create one entity. All the zygote does is exchange nutrients and waste directly through the umbilical cord.

  • @soapyjane It's a human zygote. It's not a person because it can't live on its own under normal circumstances. That is the legal and medical definition of personhood. A zygote isn't a person. Neither is an embryo or non-viable fetus. The woman not only carries the zygote/embryo/fetus (not 'baby'), but supplies the nutrients and environment which it needs to develop to personhood. It's basic Biology. Also, a zygote doesn't have an umbilical cord. More scientific illiteracy there, jane.

  • @NonnyMus1 (part 2) That does not sound as impressive as your research on how to make adhesives stick better, but in the process, I did have to research all the negative environmental effects of synthetic estrogen and estrogen mimics, and how the majority of some chemicals go untreated to cause things like oocytes to grow in male testes and collapses in population. The majority of people do not know about things like this, even with so many negative effects.

  • @soapyjane LOL! I won't even try to explain surface Physics to ya, jane!! LOL!

  • @soapyjane I'll give you an example of your scientific ignorance. You wrote, "...no one makes the distinction between embryonic and adult stem cells, and realize that only one has the ability to help people while the other just causes controversy and no results!" Every single one of the points in that statement are untrue. Plenty of bodies make the distinction, neither have the ability to 'help people' (it's more like the potential at this point) & both have had promising research.

  • @NonnyMus1 I think you misread me, but what else is new. People do not make the distinction by saying "adult" and "embryonic' cells.

If both have the potential to do the same job, than why are embryonic cells so popular? People can take their own cells and use their own cells in therapy, creating less of a chance of the body actually rejecting the treatment.

  • @soapyjane Honestly, it's comments like this that make me think you don't know the first thing about Biology. Sadly, you *think* you do, which is apparently why you think others are 'misreading' you when all they are doing it trying to set you straight! It's a weird form of arrogance that, even when fact is staring you in the face, you ignore it and hold tighter to your false knowledge.

NIH has a good page on stem cells at stemcells.nih.gov. Go. Learn. Stop being so insecure!!

  • @NonnyMus1 Also- I commented on people who were watching the same video as me. I did not stalk them. However you did it to follow me here is kinda creepy.

And also- for someone who has so much experience in life and glue making, you really are immature. I am trying to see how you see the world and your opinion, and you are just uptight and defensive. Maybe you should go take a mid afternoon nap and drink some prune juice, because I bet you would feel much better afterwards.

  • @soapyjane LOL!! I guess if you have a persecution complex, "Wah! You followed me here!" is as good a thing to write as any. I was also commenting on people who were watching the same video as me. I learned about Phil D. last year (?) sometime through Paul Klusman, of 'Engineer's Guide to Cats' fame. I like quick-fire commentary and come here for a fix. Imagine my dismay when I found good ol ignorant soapy jane in the comments. But, as always, I had to correct your ignorance. Silly me!!

  • @soapyjane I replied directly to your scientifically illiterate statements, but the comment seems not to have posted. Anyway, people do make distinctions between ASC's and ESC's because ESC's are pluripotent and ASC's are not. ESC's are easier to grow and replicate. Isolating ASC's from tissue is hard as they are rare. That's why people can't take their own cells to use in therapy! The harvesting of their ASC's would kill them! Just more scientific illiteracy, jane. Sure you know Biology!

  • @soapyjane If you had real Bio knowledge, you would know what stem cells were, you'd know the limitations of Adult Stem Cells and you would understand the challenges of this type of research - keeping cells alive, cultivating cell lines, increasing cell numbers and discovering applications to change potential into actual therapies.

Instead, you write blanket generalizations filled with untruths. That's why I challenged your claim and still ask if you got your degree from a Bible college!

  • @NonnyMus1 All cells die though;even just in microbiology, you have to re-plate bacteria to yield the best results- all cells need nutrition to function. Heck, if you want a cell that is easy to use though, why not use some HeLa cells?

As for discovering applications to change potential to actual, is that not what scientists do? researching an idea to find if it is sound testing it to see if the initial hypothesis was correct and apply it to the real world?

  • @soapyjane Silly jane! You can't use HeLa cells for stem cell research! They aren't stem cells! You appear to have a little knowledge about keeping bacteria alive and you assume that applies to all cells. It doesn't. Some cells are very difficult or impossible to keep alive and/or to propagate.

Yes, that is what scientists do and are doing. Again, you don't seem to know anything about the time & resources needed for reasearch and the negative impact of public policy on it. It's naive.

  • @NonnyMus1 I was using an example of how hard it is to keep some cells alive. I was using the extreme example of how HeLa cells grow forever, but in comparison, other, non-cancerous cells do need to be looked after. All cells need looking after, including stem cells. They are not "magic" cells as you make them out to be.

Also don't say I know nothing. I also have a minor in public policy too. And how is it that the things I am educated in are the very same things I "know nothing" about?

  • @soapyjane Well, you sure didn't make your point! How about if you use the words, 'for example' when you are citing something as an example? That makes it clearer to your readers what you mean!. I didn't ever call stem cells 'magic' - you do know the word 'promising' does NOT mean 'magic', right? I did write that ESC lines can be kept alive and ASC cannot . And LOL! at your 'qualifications'! You minored in pub. policy and never learned that morality can't be legislated? LOL!!

  • @NonnyMus1 'And how is it that the things I am educated in are the very same things I "know nothing" about?'

Good question! I think you really need to ask it of yourself. I would guess that it's partially or mostly due to going to a bad school. It's also apparent that you have an arrogance about your ignorance which blocks learning. Most scientists I know are very aware of how much they don't know. They learn their whole lives instead of resting on their no-secular campus laurels.

  • @NonnyMus1 Why are you replying to yourself?

But now you are attacking the school that I went to. Are you really that bad that you have to try to insult me by saying I went to a bad school? If I learned from bad teachers, how do they all have published journal articles?

I also believe I said previously that I was trying to learn your position and how you think. How is that not trying to learn? Meanwhile, you have yet to even try to think that someone else knows something that you do not.

  • @soapyjane Because I accidentally hit 'Reply' on my own comment. Umm.. more hyper-sensitivity. I wrote, '...my guess is...' because it sure comes across that way. But seeing how I struck a nerve, it appears you are less certain about your school's quality than you may be aware. A teacher can be excellent, but unless one is a good student, that's nothing. You did say you were trying to learn my position, but again, there is little evidence of that.

  • @NonnyMus1 You did not strike a nerve, more like you just were wrong about me going to a bad school, and I just told you otherwise; you assumed wrong, not that you will ever apologize though.

How is it that I am stupid, but i came from a good school, am a good student in said school, graduated from the Honors school and cords from Tri- Beta, but you still bring up about me being a bad student?

Why don't you break down those defensive walls & talk instead of trying to discredit my background?

  • @soapyjane Sigh. Again, your displayed scientific illiteracy belies your claims of being a good student at a good school. I don't know what your definition of 'good' is, I suspect it's the Catholic definition of 'good', but your scientific understanding is not good. I once worked with a guy who claimed he graduated from Harvard with honors in British History. He said his thesis was on Charles II yet he didn't know what 'the Restoration' meant! Of course he didn't go to Harvard or any school!

  • @soapyjane You haven't asked questions about 'my position'. You didn't even consult the sources I've gave, did you? Instead, you've made some really ignorant statements and have agreed with the ignorant statements of others.

The learning I was referring to was *scientific* learning. Learning more about *Science*. Science such as *Biology*! So, go. Learn. Make sure that your scientific statements are from good science others have done and that you understand what they have done. Learn!

  • @NonnyMus1 Actually, I did, but you should have known that already since you know everything, right? The interview sources are relevant because the have FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE in the topic since they witnessed/ preformed the operations. Do you have that experience? We were talking about injuries, and how often they happen. If there is someone who has caused the injury, how is his/her confession invalid?

  • @soapyjane No, I don't know everything-just more than you do! It appears that you are mixing up data sources for 2 things. Interviews about late-term abortions aren't a good data source because there is no statistical sampling. I asked for statistics. 2nd is your claim of a high injury rate from abortion which was covered up. Again, an interview or 2 isn't good enough. I never said there were no injuries, just that abortion is relatively safe. Again, good data. You know what that means.

  • @soapyjane Hey Jane, what was your thesis about? Most scholars are proud of their research and can discuss it at the drop of a hat. You asked for mine and I gave it -- well, I kind of made the title more accessible for non-scientists -- but I gave it. So, what was yours. Did it have to do with bacteria? If so, which species? What about them?

  • @NonnyMus1 I seriously explained it already. go find it.

  • @soapyjane SInce you seem to actually be answering my questions over here, I'll re-ask several from that other video: What are your statistics on so-called partial birth abortions?

And you never answered my question about evidence of abortion injury cover-up. Please do.

Also, you never answered my question that if 'personhood' begins at conception, why aren't sexually active women holding funerals every month? Why is Plan B legal? It would be murder under your definition!

  • @NonnyMus1 The statistics were taken from people in the abortion business. Interviews and such from people inside the business.

Plan B is murder. Sexually active women taking Plan B could if they want, because it is murder, but they do not because that would mean they know and openly admit they are committing murder.

  • @soapyjane This is a good example of bad sources! When you were researching, did you read scientific papers that had statistically significant sample sizes, descriptions of setup & procedure, data analysis & a conclusion based on all of the above? That is an example of a good source. Not interviews of random people done by anti-choice zealots. I was asking for statistics, not biased interviews. Try again.

And women take Plan B all the time. It's not murder, that last garble notwithstanding!

  • @NonnyMus1 Well, women are not supposed to take those pills all the time, because they are supposed to be a "plan b" not "plan a".

Saying Plan B is not murder is saying that abortion is not murder, since it can be an abortive drug. From there, we have to go through the whole abortion thing again.

  • @soapyjane Sigh. I know you are trying to score points by being witty, but it's a fail. I wrote 'women' not 'a woman'.

Nope, we don't have to go through the whole abortion thing again because abortion is legal and murder is not. Plan B is legal and murder is not. The only people who think abortion is murder are arrogant, ignorant religious nuts who want to impose their religious views on women.

It's a shame, really. The women know so much more than the anti-abortion zealots.

  • @NonnyMus1 Why are you staking the pages I comment on anyway? The Defranco show is not linked to the pages we were on earlier...creepy.

  • @soapyjane Ha! I'm a fan of Phil and was catching up! I recognized your name and ignorance! I agree the coincidence was creepy. I sure hope I don't see you in a Phil D. video comment section again! Are you here because you're a fan or because of the stem cell thing?

  • @iwishiwuzbella Stem cell research doesn't kill unborn babies! That's just crazy talk! Stay in school and make sure you take Biology so you can learn what different types of cells do, what stem cells are and how they can be used to save people's lives.

What research study are you referring to? Please cite Journal, Author, Title and Date, please!

  • @NonnyMus1 oh, nonnymus1, nonnymus1, nonnymus1,

did you not read my post and soapyjanes post? i said there are SOME stem cell research people that use the stem cells of unborn babies, ultimately killing them, because you must abort it for the research to happen. which is stupid because if the baby (okay, fetus) is burned beyond recognition or torn apart in pieces, how can you research it, and it never came with actual results.

  • @iwishiwuzbella AND AS I SAID (continuation from last post) EARLIER that adult stem cells that are cultivated from A FREAKING COTTON SWAB ON THE CHEEK or a SKIN SAMPLE provided more results. so yes, stem cells cure diseases and help people. but only the adult ones can.

  • @iwishiwuzbella And I asked for you to cite your source of your claims. That's not so hard to understand, is it? What research showed that, '...stem cells cure diseases and help people. but only the adult ones can.'? Please cite details. In Science, that means Journal name, author, study title and date. That's not so hard to understand.

If it's something you heard somewhere or someone told you sometime, then you should be able to find the source data, right? So, cite it!

  • @NonnyMus1 if i was never given a name, explain how to cite it. there is no possible way with THOUSANDS of articles and HUNDREDS of doctors/researchers that i can look through them all to tell you. i didnt even get this info second hand. i got it third hand, and the second hand party in question wasnt given a name so i really dont know a name.

  • @iwishiwuzbella LOL! So, you are citing something you heard third hand as fact?! That's really silly! There's a possible way! It's called a 'literature search'. There are databases such as Science Citation Index, which you can access through local universities (not Bible 'colleges'). There are also databases such as PubMed, which are available online. Most of those show the abstract (the summary) or a research paper for free. If you want to pay for searching, there are plenty of options.

  • @iwishiwuzbella I did, and I was asking for details. That's not so hard to understand, is it? Who are the researchers who kill embryos and fetuses after using their stem cells? Names or lab would do. Your sourced for the information won't. I'm not sure what you mean by burning or torn apart with respect to stem cells, so cite an article explaining it. I'm just asking for the sources for your claims, so please provide them.

  • @NonnyMus1 do you know how the abortion process is done? its with a needle through the womb and acid is poured everywhere, BURNING the fetus. or its done vaginally, with a clamp, which does not get the fetus whole, the fetus comes out in pieces. (yes i know there is the RU486 pill but if there are only 16 cells, how can you research it?) another way of abortion is partial birth which is where the fetus is being born legs first and they stick a tube at the base of the neck and suck the brain out.

  • @iwishiwuzbella I know how abortions are done at every stage and nobody injects acid into the fetus! That would likely burn the woman's uterus! That is just crazy talk! Is this more third-hand information from an anonymous source? Please stop believing that kind of information!! Please!!

I don't know what you mean by, "...there is the RU486 pill but if there are only 16 cells, how can you research it?". Research what?
