@jjpjimmy J-Step is just as it sounds you are making  a J on the ground for the take-off. old school you just go straight into the cork and the cork actually goes forward instead of the same spot

Impressive, but you're working a little too hard to do it. Instead of j-stepping and staring at the ceiling when you wrap, you should j-step slant-gainer so you are facing the floor, and then wrap. Your style requires you spin an extra 1/2 spin, which isn't necessary. Regardless, congrats on landing a cork. ( :
