Dwarfer's obviously going by the flash vs thunder delay, which must be out of sync on this video. Sound travels at 1100ft /sec and the delay in this video is 0.4s which will make the strike about 500ft away, if you're 100% sure it hit in your neighbors garden then the video isnt syncronised, not dwarfer777's fault

No. Fail. I stripped the audio from the original video and, according to Audacity, the thunder burst begins at .67 seconds in. The flash begins in the video, according to Sony Vegas Pro, at .434 seconds in.

That is a delay of .236 seconds, meaning that the thunder is less than half of what you think it is. That makes it 259.6 feet away, defending my statement of the lightning striking across the next street behind the houses you can see.

The video synchronization is fine, too.

You are so stupid! The lightning strikes at 0.193s not 0.43. Either your lying through your back teeth about this video (to defend the APPEARENCE of a close strike) or the video isn't syncronised, the thunder is as you say 0.67s later making a 0.477s delay

The people who lived there moved because lots of their appliances were damaged, also. On that same day, the water level in the lake you see in the video raised over 1 and a half feet.
