Yeast will keep a year or longer if kept in the refrigerator or freezer. I like to keep mine in the freezer.

Very helpful demonstration,tried numerous times today to activate the yeast only to realize by watching this that I miss read my recipe and was using far to little yeast. for it to work.Thanks for posting x
