When is the ice thick enough for a vehicle to drive across it?

I'm not sure of the minimum thickness, but when I came down from the ice road last week it was 1.7 meters (6 ft)

I wasn't joshing Anna. They used to have A trains (2 trls hooked together with a single or tandem converter). Then they made it so the lead trl had a set of tandem axles that could slide back to attach to the rear trl. This was a B train. Now we have 3 axles between the lead and pup. This is a Super B train. That's what we drive now and what was loading on the ferry.
