  • Isn't there a way you can do all midi, including the drums with the virtual keyboard within cubase itself?

  • is a midi keyboard necessary for this? or is there a way to use your keyboard as a midi input as available on the macs garageband?

  • @zigg84 Yeah you can, if you use version 5. I hope this information is still useful six months after you asked the question!

  • THATS WHATS UP! I'm so sold on cubase, I'm fucking gettin it. Keep the tutorials coming mate??

ONE QUESTION THO, where did you go to choose the sounds? Seems as if you were just producing new sounds without using your mouse to look for them? Explain pls??? Or if someone else reads this and knows, PLEASE EXPLAIN????

  • U know what a midi controller is?

  • He was using a drum kit from HALion one. He says at 1:13 "I got myself a hip-hop kit here.". And that it was a preset within the HALion one sound set. He was most likely triggering them from an external keyboard.

  • emplace editing isn't on my cubase!

    where can I find it?

  • CTRL + SHIFT + I (or CMD + SHIFT + I on Mac)

  • I got cubase AI 4 but when I push ctrl + shift + I... I get nothing (pc)

does AI 4 not have this function or do I have to activate it somewhere?

    thnk in advance!

  • ah.. looks like it's not a feature on AI then.. unfortunately the cheaper versions do have functions cut out. Shame if they have as it's a handy feature.
