I would love if someone told me how to get it to work without the top screen cause it happened to me and all it does is I get the green light and the screen turns on for a second and then it shuts off.

Sorry about the DS bro. After showing it off, I would have filmed it being tossed out of a 10 story building and hitting the ground. That would be epic, unless you plan on fixing it. Did you get a new one yet? What did you end up on doing with it?
How to get a new DS for free: Ring Nintendo customer survices department, and say your DS has broken. They will probably ask what happened to it. You say, you opened your DS and the top screen flipper off. They may charge you something, I dunno. But I rang & said that. Becuase it happend to mine when I came back from holiday. You will have to wait a month or two toget it back though. Google "Nintendo's customer survices number" toget the number.
