  • @MrSharky334 Oh James Harden is a "scrub" really? Thats news to me...

    Ol dumbass...

  • Kobe just did it like 3 times tonight from what I saw. He hit two out of three.. Not bad.

  • @MrSharky334 he did it on James Harden....

  • Its not high enough of an arch to be nowitzkis fade

  • @Trent5623 exactly , i myself do the high arch myself but whatever works for kobe ...

  • wow kobe does the dirk better than dirk

  • @Angryfatkidd I dont think so man dirk does this in NBA games kobes playing scrubs in this video.

  • @MrSharky334 true, but if you have watched kobe recently, he is starting to do this more and more against NBA players. He is starting to incorporate it into his everyday game.

  • oh shit that looks just like it

  • kobe does that shot all the time dont know what you guys are talkin about

  • james harden guarding him in the second one?

  • kobe bryant or COPY bryant??

  • @keongkim Which is what's so great about him. The best players copy successful moves and incorporate them in their game. It's not like copying during exam when it takes no skill and practice..

  • @NinjaMatul

thats why i call him the master of copy... mr.copy bryant

  • @keongkim Is called having a repertoire...

  • what i love about kobe is he watches sumone do a move and he'll try it and learn it and use it

  • putting up the knee like that creates more space for the shooter.. especially if your a 7footer with long legs that shot is practically un-defendable unless you foul.

  • Kobe's obviously been practicing that shot haha. And yeah he's gonna steal the move every great player works on one thing that is weak in there game during the offseason and kobe obviously wants to put that move into his post up game.

  • KING JAMESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @wtfmynig choked ;)

  • @chriss790 swept???? in secopnd round hahhahaha ur one to brag

  • @wtfmynig

I'm actually a Dallas fan. Don't assume that, just because I negatively reply to James fanboy comment on a Kobe video, I'm going to turn out a Lakers supporter.

  • and get a clue, what are there copy rights for a god damn move. kobe is THE MOST astute player in the game. he knows more than anyone that hes losing a step therefore hes going to compensate by adding moves like this

  • i can assure you well c kobe replicating that move much more now that he doesnt have the elevation he once did. this will just allow him more seperation

  • Kobe doesn't lose to anyone on the one on one .

  • Why wouldn't you add this move to your skillset after it single handedly swept your team.

  • @JohnNguyenFTW Exactly, no such thing. Past players have always bestowed their skill set onto the next generation.. But it does call into attention the genius and inventiveness of Jordan, Hakeem, Magic, Maravich, etc. all a class to their own.

  • Hah, why wouldn't you want to steal Dirk's fade away? It's fucking LETHAL.

  • just inproveing more so the lakers. win more championships. and so we dont get swept anymore.

  • Even if you don't like Kobe you have to respect him. He works his ass off and is a student of the game. At his age, he's still adding new moves to his game that allow him to still be an effective scorer even though he has lost some of his explosion.

  • it' good that Kobe put his famously good ego aside and learn a move from a player that swept him. A few years ago his arrogance would've stopped him from doing so but I can he's more mature now.

  • The Origin of this kind of fadeaway was from Oscar Robertson (If I'm not wrong.) And the generations adapt it to their form like Jordan,Kobe and Dirk.

  • Hey Idiots This is Dirks Fadeaway kobe and Mj regulary go off of two feet Dirk Goes off of one to make space his fadeaway is alot more consitent and is one of the hardest shots to contest in basketball history probably second to Kareem's Sky Hook

  • Kobe the only person to consistntly hit fadeaway j's, check out his vids from any yr since 1996, and to say he stole it from dirk is saying that derrick stole his speed from Iverson... Fuckin lebron fans always complainin

  • has dirk gone black???

  • Kobe steals MJ's move and now Dirk's.

  • Sorry I meant tip drill eye wash

  • Mj made the fade away famous till drill eye wash

  • that second one looked identical to Dirk, just a little quicker lol

  • JUST ADD ABOUT 6 INCHES TO THE RELESE THEN THATS DIRK. FUKIN IMPPOSSIBLE TO DEFEND YO!

  • Well wilt Chamberlain used the fadeaway, then Jordan, then Kobe I believe made it famous

  • TO MAKE IT CLEAR!!...Dirk did NOT make the fadeaway famous. To say that disrespects the MANY that did it before him. The only difference between his fadeaway and others, is that he raises his right knee high, to create some separation between the ball and the defender

  • Kobe just doing what he got to do just to become the BEST, i mean to me i kno everybody has there own style and crap but,,,YOU WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET THE TITLE AND BECOME MVP AND TO BECOME THE BEST

  • type in kobe bryant fade away and youll see highlights of him doing these moves for years, and before him jordan did them

  • amazingly good

still not as good as dirk at the stepback

  • Kobe is a bitch stealing fake ass white boi wtf can't beat DIRK so u stealing his moves? LAME

  • @TJ271992 Playoff mvp is fake? Go play your nba2k12 kiddo.

  • @TJ271992 He didn't steal those moves... Man, you kids are all so stupid. Saying Curry stole Rondo's fake. When it was was Hakeem's move and before that Pistol Pete's.. EVERYONE USES THE SAME MOVES. People just make things into their trademark by multiple usages.

  • Kobe's been doing fade aways since he came into the NBA.

  • good to see kobe working on more low impact mid-range moves. he really wants to compete for a long time.

  • @TheShnag what the hell are u talkin about? Kobes BEEN havin those moves....he's been the best non big man in the post for years now.....u must not watch the games...

  • Yaaa dirk did it so much it was juxx reconized , like kobe &&' his pivot move .

  • Can't blame Kobe for adding this to his repertoire. - It's a great way to create space.... even better when you're a 7 foot sniper. - that said. I doubt Kobe would trust this shot in a critical game. - This is Dirk's move.--- "The One Foot Euro Fade"

  • it wanst a practice this was a real game for realsz

  • ive seen kobe does this before dirk.....

  • @ultimatesupremedrago lol, dirk definitely made it famous, but i have seen kobe do this before this shot became synonymous with dirk's name!

  • He doesn't do that shit on purpose you douches, you to create space any way possible, even when if it looke wierd. I do this move everytime I practice or play, since I was 14 years old. Idiots...

  • @Jett16Stylez lol.... yeah but you don't play in the NBA.

  • @underlinedbluetext I'm closer then your bum ass will ever be !! You garbage ass fagget.

  • @Jett16Stylez hahahaa whaaaaaat? chill out man. i don't even play basketball. damn! .... the fuck is your problem?

  • @underlinedbluetext LoL !! You just felt my firewall protection. I thought you were a virus. But, your comment is a little agressive and unnecessary.

  • @Jett16Stylez lol.... i was just sayin man.

  • I've never seen A Kobe one leg fadeaway and Im a huge NBA fan. Someone please back up these statements of Kobe ONE LEG fadeaways before Dirk with some proof.

  • Greatness recognizes Greatness.

  • Jordan did the one-legged fade numerous times....But Dirk is the first to really make it a trademark shot. Kind of like the Jordan fade away...He didn't invent it, but he used it so much he became synonymous with the shot.

  • kobe adding to his game once again. this is how you extend your career and hes gonna be effective for a long time still

  • I think i saw jordan to this back in the day too

  • Kobe's been doing this for ages

  • yall some dick suck'n ass fuck'n homo-thugs.....just hate'n on someone that dirk aint n well never be so change ur panty's to something more man like n keep it move'n.....#8 to #24 to high hater lmao

  • @lazy380 ...What?

  • LACES OUT DAN

  • i like how kobe gives respect and puts his ego a side and tries to perfect something he likes (Mj Fade away) now Dirk one leg fade away

  • Kobe has a different fadeaway...he does a big kick

  • this is what happens when u get swept on the playoffs

  • he's doing it for fun. that is still dirks trademark fade away though. besides if kobe tried it in the nba then he would probably have it blocked due to his size compared to dirks

  • i tried practising this today. serious guys its the hardest move i ever tried. its even harder than jordan's fadeaway omg.

  • i dont i've seen kobe use this during the season

maybe he'll use it more often when lockout is over

  • Kobe's had that shot way before dirk did.

  • @wupodart93 LOL no he hasnt

  • @wupodart93 wow, you are stupid.

  • @wupodart93 troll

  • @mschilder420 hes alot better then dirk haha

  • kobe wanna be dirk now lol :) jk

  • k too all of you talking shit why wouldnt kobe use something that will help him to advance isnt that what everybody does we all try to learn from different players to help us advance

  • ,,,FUCK KOBE'S FOOTWORK,,,TRAVELING SHOULD BE LEGAL,,,

    SIGNED LEBRON, THE REAL KING.

  • Comment removed

  • LETS SEE YOU GUYS TRY N MAKE THAT SHOT

  • try that on LEBRON!

  • he has the most sweetest jump-shots that you can ever see in the NBA besides Nowitzki. he is the most fundamental shooter in the NBA, thats what I love about kobe

  • He doing it just like DIRK

  • not enough herky jerky...too graceful kobe...elbows out!!

  • Sorry, you must get out of round one in the playoffs before trying this move. Please try again another time.

  • I think he just wants to show he's capable of doing every move there exists in basketball...

  • The first shot reminded me Mj's fadeaway...

  • @CuloconCebo i agree...the 1st is one jordan-esque...all the others are just reDIRKulous...

  • wtf how is everyone using that move

  • Why is everybody starting to use that move now dirks been using it his whole career and it's the best way to get separation for a ahot

  • KOBE ALWAYS ADDING NEW MOVES IN HIS GAME EVERY SEASON I HOPE HE ADD ANOTHER RING TO LA

  • You see, dirk shoots that fadeway like that cause he's a uncordnated german with no footwook. So instead of using footwork, he just shoots off one leg, because he's 7'0 and he knows no one can block his fadeway, reguardless of how many feet he jumps off of to shoot. Same with Larry he had no post up footwork so he just shot it and crazy angles because he was 6'10 and it was hard to block him. Kobe didn't steal shit from him he just shot an off balance uncordnated shot, he just looks good doin it

  • @T82486 lol fail

  • @T82486 I think everybody will agree when I say your an fucking moron ... the "uncordnated german with no footwook " how you call him is the mvp of the nba finals ... and if may add you freaking arrogant dickriding kobe fan ... those 2 you just mentioned are 2 of the greatest nba players in the history so please spare us with your pseudo all about basketball knowing bullshit ... and go analyze some footwork in porn ...

thank you good day to you sir ..

  • He doesn't have great footwork jackass. If he did he wouldn't have to shoot so much, because he could just take ppl to the basket. And just because your the MVP of the Finals doesn't mean you can perform everything right on a basketball court you fucking idiot. Tony Parker was an MVP of the finals, but I guess because he was an MVP, that's makes it ok to say that he's a great three point shooter. Or that the "floater" that he utlitized in the finals, can be named the "Tony Parker Floater"

  • @T82486 not true bro because he dnt get as much call or fouls an not tryna get hurt bro all the other stars get more calls then him

  • Your right my man, he doesnt get a lot of the calls that a "Kobe" would get. But his footwook isn't that great. This is why he shoots that one-foot fadeaway. When I say footwork, I mean like Kobe, Like Shaq(in the post), like Hakeem(in the post and out), etc. These guys have great footwook to wear they can create "separation" from the defender to do whatever they have to do. Dirk has good foot wook, but not enough.

  • Take a look at his post play, now and before, and you see it's the same moves everytime. In the post: He'll back them down, and then shoot that one foot fadeaway. Or fake one way go the other spin move jumpshot. And when he's face to face. He take a one bounce dribble and spins and if he has the lane he'll take it, if he doesn't which most of the time he doesn't cause he so slow, he'll spin and shoot the jumpshot......

  • @T82486 has it been stop an u say he slow but cud u stop him, really as u lok at it he was being lazy when kobe plays smaller people he dnt use his post move against bigger player but still tell me has kobe ever been stop from doing it

  • First fadeaway was Kobe, the last 2 were Dirk's all day.

  • who is that james harden guarding kobE?

  • i hope your fucking joking with the title , cause if this is dirks move michael jordan stole it from him ( sarcasm ) stupid faggot its a common move thts like sayn rondo imitates chris paul cause he passes stupid fuck

  • kobe can learn the signature moves of every superstar

  • kobe should honestly master this shot. he's gettin a bit older, he's put on some decent size tho. that'd be a good shot for him, give them a bump, make a bit of space and rise of for that silky jumper

  • Dirk's heigh makes it so special. A 7 footer pulling up fade away jumpers is unguardable.

  • the one legged fadeaway can give u more space cuz ur opposite knee is preventing the defender from getting too close

  • kobe is great at imitating... like no disrespect, its a great skill... first he imitates jordan, now dirk... smart player.

  • is there really a difference if you use one leg or two to fade? it seems like it would be the same cept the one leg is alot more difficult to maintain your balance

  • CHANGE THE DAMN TITLE

  • oh i c wat your talkin bout

  • wat its a fadeaway lol

  • Don't blame him. It works. Thumbs up to Kobe for not being too proud to recognize something he can use.

  • To all the retards that are saying he's copying dirk, you guys a dumb. Its called improving. He's gettin better even at this age.

  • Kobe the best

  • Dirk has a trademark on that fadeway?

  • @warfighter1988 You're damn right he does!

  • That's a great shot for going against a taller defender when you can't jump over him which is starting to become the case for Kobe. And if the guy's shorter, foget about it! It's so effective and throws off the timing of the defender because you essentially cut the footwork in half. It's a shot that doesn't take a lot of energy to get off, and offers a lot of counters once the defender starts looking for it. It will be fun to see Mamba use it as a primary . .in 2013! (F*CK!!)

  • Your right, he did copy a move, but that was my whole point and the reason no one steals or copies the skyhook is because no one can really do it, and if they could than every big man in the league would be using it and that would be considered stealing or copying from the great george mikan and kareem himself. So some players do steal moves and kobe's one of them.

  • if you see something and you like it just add it to your repertoire, I don't see any harm in that.

  • we'll see if kobe will utilize this in regular season. he always tries stuff out in the off season but when it comes to it, he usually abandons most of it

  • there goes kobe, first stealing from Hakeem now dirk, but I bet he won't admit that he got this move from Dirk that's how arrogant he is

  • @isaacd35 He trained with Hakeem you stupid fuck... AND YOU CAN'T STEAL A MOVE, otherwise everyone steals everything... like no look passes and dunks...

  • @JMFTiM3 Yeah, he did train with hakeem, and when he did, he took some of his moves, he didn't train with dirk and he still stole his fadeaway, but I bet you won't admit that you dick riding kobe lover.

  • @isaacd35 FIRST OF ALL... I respect Kobe as an NBA player but he isn't close to being my favourite player in the league... You are just a Kobe hater... And I'm right there with you, I respect him but I get pissed because his sole purpose in life is to be like MJ... Which in my opinion is the stupidest thing you can do in life, strive to be someone else, I hate his attitude and shot jacking but even so... He copied a move... big whoop, does everyone "steal" when they use a skyhook? Please...

  • @JMFTiM3 don't play basketball if you are saying you hate players who copying shots..

  • @ciremdezcat What I'm not the one saying that... The other guy is... I'm saying everyone has to copy something at some point and you can't steal a move... Can you even read?

  • ive been watching kobe since he was with shaq in the late 90s hes always done fadeaways fuck off and some people are right the fadeaways been goin on since the 70s its changed and evolved but for damn sure kobe learned his own way ... once again fuck off!!!! lakers allday

  • Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robinson ha fadaways as well

  • Jordan didn't invent the faraway it's been around forever

  • the fadeaway has evolved... Dirk just made it even more famous

  • orginated from Michael Jordan.

  • BLACK MAMBA TIL I DIE TRUE KOBETARD N NEXT SEASON KOBE GNE B USING DIRKS FADE AWAY LOL YEA DAT IS DIRKS MOVE ALL DA WAY KOBE BEEN PRACTICEN DAT MOVE UCA TELL LOOK KOBE NT KICKN HIS LEG OUT ASS MUCH!

  • Doesn't really matter WHO started using this shot, the fact is? Dirk's better at it. Kobe is the better player, dirk's the better shooter.

  • Made it his own.

  • shooting with 1 leg in the air lol.

  • thats nothing like Dirk's fadeaway. its just Kobe shooting off one leg. lol

  • only dirk can do a dirk fadeaway

  • thats dirk move right from the beginning.i dont get the argument anyway:kobe didnt need that move over the years, cause he is the much better athlete, his jumping abilites provide him the fade away.dirk is no jumper at all,so he trained this move to give him an unstoppable weapon on the court.this is maybe the most undefendable move since karims skyhook.love you dirk, youre the best!keep your style of basketball and bring us another ring!greets from munich!

  • a ring is a ring 1 or alot he still got it

  • Kobe + Dirk = Best fade away in the business!

  • Can't lie, that's Dirk all day.

  • he can do it because he is the one of the masters of shooting

  • thats kobes move Paul Pierce and kobe did that before dirk

  • this is y kobe bryant is the best,he wants to know all the moves and mastered it.....KOBE BRYANT = UNLIMITED MOVES

  • Love the fact that Kobe is taking Dirk's shot. Shows alot of repsect. Plus, if it works, use it!

  • if u practice this you can really master it... i got really good at it at one point. all you do is just keep keep shooting hundreds thousands of shots of day like this... the one legged fadeaway is good cuz u dont gotta deal wit gravity while jumping so you have more force to shoot the ball. once u master it its virtually unguardable

  • If you can't beat them, steal their moves

  • @rudedog2009

it just goes to show you kobe can pretty much do any move possible on the court. kobe just so fundamental.

  • @rudedog2009 who cares if he stole his moves...he's kobe has the same amount of ability as dirk does

  • shooting off the wrong foot

yep.. thats def. dirks patented shot

  • Kobe has not been doing that I'm the biggest Kobe fan. Even if you hate Kobe, you gotta at least respect the man and his work ethic. Always adding new bits to his game every off season. He wants to stay at the top forever lol.

  • what a great player....

  • I mean 2k12 lol

  • Any one else see a potencial nba 2k11 cheese moove?

  • ..and another move is added to kobe's arsenal. uh oh

  • Thts not dirk trademark ppl did it in the 50s but personally I think its cheating so yu dnt get blocked .

  • @meee2love if it counts it aint cheating

  • Everyone wants to be like Kobe but Kobe wants more knowledge on the game!

  • everyone wants to be like dirk like dirk

  • If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

  • I did on legged fade awy and it actually went in lol

  • After the Mavericks series, looks like Kobe's determined to come back stronger.
