Sorry for the comment, but I think this is the the most annoying part of this cartoon.
So Bugs Bunny says his act is due, (the part that is almost the end of the cartoon), and the boys of the chorus showed up along with Bugs Bunny himself.
This makes me think "Confusion!" and I feel like I am angry.
@MrKoolTrix The point is that in show business, you take what you can get, you don't get much, and everyone plays up (exaggerates) about the jobs they take, as well as roles they're offering you as an actor. I saw this when I was 5 and was a little dismayed, but I got it. Monty Python's Cheese Shop, Dead Parrot, Job Interview sketches, etc. follow that same idea: Life is full of people that are full of crap. It's still shocking to find how NON-exaggerated these skits are.
OMG...this was one of the funniest running jokes in all of cartoondom...ever. I haven't seen this in 50 years....seeing it again now, I am literally peeing my pants. Gotta get some "Depends". :)
I fucking love this song, and how irritated bugs gets of the song at the end, not of this vid but the episode. I'm actually watching the episode where it's bug's 51st and a half birthday and they use the instrumental like every five seconds.....that's why I am here but the song is stilll on now I have to goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I get that, but would that have been typical in the 40s, for "the boys of the chorus" to come out and do a little routine like that? I'm saying that, culturally, I don't get this reference.
Yes, in the 1880-1940's stage performance as in Vaudeville (the stage was used for movies then) they would have a comedy routine come out, then dancing girls, a dancing team, strong man, 1-act play , etc, and the Chorus boys would go out to "fill time" between acts. It was the lowest! This was the lowest job in stage performing.
The Sportsmen Quartet, who regularly sang on Jack Benny's radio show at the time (delivering satiric musical Lucky Strike middle commercials), and provided vocal harmony in several Warner cartoons for over a decade, are the vocalists behind Bugs here.
Oh, we're the boys of chorus, we hope you like our show. We know you're rooting for us, but now we have to go!

Can somebody explain who these guys are? I never got this joke.

@StephenHarpersNutsak
The joke is that in every big broadway production Bugs gets himself into, he's always at the end with the "Boys in Chorus"
