  • anyone else think this reminds you of blockland?

  • How come I cant find any programming tutorials?

  • Dat Azz xdd

  • U r a really good teacher!

  • The game engine is technically free. When you purchase it, your actually getting the license and source code. That is what is really what the money pays for.

  • It's not free u gotta pay like atleast 100$ for it just torrent it

  • @littshepkid I got it free no torrent. ?

  • is this free

  • @zeronial1 yes

  • what the link for that program Nandu pls...

  • PLEASE MAKE MORE VIDEOS OF THIS

  • I don't know much about Torque 3D, but if it's anything like Torque X 2D, you should really think hard before purchasing it... It lacks documentation and is hard to figure out exactly what's its doing sometimes. If you have a year to spend to conform the engine to your specific game (in order to start your game) and figure out the code, then Torque is a pretty good buy. However, if you are expecting something easy or don't have strong programming skills, look elsewhere.

  • is Torque easyer than Unity??

  • where can i get the demo???

  • can we create game for mobile devices using Torque?

  • @thisismirul - Yes. iTorque let's you create games for the iPhone. 2D is currently available, with 3D right around the corner.

  • @Peffe01 thanks.

  • i make shadow of the collosus 2 >:D

  • Can you add character made it on 3Dmax D=?

  • u need a better mic

  • @MonkiFuzzProductions

Na just take it alittle bit away from his mouth :)

  • I am messing with this engine right I type this.

  • this is a fantastic game making thing...(cant find the word) but by all means this is NOT worth buying, you can buy game engines 10 times better for 10 times less

sorry guys its just not worth it

  • Engine is the word....

  • @cerebrus80 Could you name one?

  • @cerebrus80 10 times better for 10 times less, that doesn't require royalty and with a usage license just as flexible of Torques?! Where can one find such a legendary engine?! Surly you must be shopping at the bargain basement of the Gods!

I'm honestly curious, cause ID3/4, Cry, Unreal, pretty much any of the big names is either more expensive, has a lot of licensing issues or require huge royalties or all of the above.

  • Is this better than Realm Crafter? I'd wanted for a long time to make my own MMORPG, but i gave up on programming after a while, also what does any of you know about the abyssal engine?

  • Torque is actualy alot better then Realm Crafter, It actualy allows you to make a HQ MMORPG that others can play

  • yeah and others cant play your RC mmo? ;D

  • @lakristianla Its good you would like to do some designing on your own MMORPG. But when you have giving up programming thats bad, This is to design the world. Then you need to code the rest.

  • no one told me this was 1,000 dallors......also i downloaded that demo i have like 300mb left and i cant even play the damn thing....

  • Torque 3D is $1000. This is a video of an older engine called Torque Game Engine, which was $150.

  • Comment removed

  • Once I have the money and a good enough desktop, I am gonna buy Torque for me to use :)

My friends and I want to form an indie game company and we wanna check this engine out first

  • For the month of December 2009, you can get Torque 3D for $100. The regular edition normally sells for $250, and the Pro usually runs at $1,000. Go grab Torque 3D for $100 now! =)

  • Torque is not so much a game engine as it is a horribly written Quake clone game with some scripting ability. I am finishing a commercial game with TSE (Torque Shader Engine) and this really was the worst 6 months of development in my life.

Torque source code is a bloody messy piece of crap. Torque is not a game engine, rather it's an old ugly designed game, hacked here and there to make it look like an engine.

  • gotta start somewhere, if everyone thought there software was crap there would be no engines, maybe even no games for that matter. life is about taking risks.

and its easy to judge something u didn't create.

  • So you spent six months making a game on Torque? Can you upload a video of this game, i just want to see how far somoene who has spent so long on this program can actually get.

  • Now the games are cool and all dont get me wrong. but is this engine capable of creating a game sort of like the godfather. like cities tommy guns etc. I was thinking about creating a mmorpg thats like the godfather. if you know please reply. :)

  • Its possible, as long as your willing to put the time into the coding and modeling, And of course hosting the server(s).

But yeah, it will work. If you do.

  • get the mmo kit for torque engine, i havnt used it but a MMO game called Realm Lords has been made using it, and it rocks.

  • @SSKulom ... O.O I seriously hope you have more than 1 programmer... Cause if not... ehh.. Expect to spend a year figuring out the engine and how it works, then another year conforming it to what you want it to do and then you can start your game. It's an engine, not a game kit... From there you'll need art assets, etc and man... You'll have your work cut out for you. Dungeons has taken us a year and a half thus far and it's a simple Golden Axe parody. It should be done by September...

  • Whomever you are (that continues to troll this comment section)I will continue to delete your posts untill your language is cleaned up and you are more subjective and not just downright rude. Figure out a more constructive way to say what you have to say.

  • He's trolling every single video about Torque, particularly our official GG channel. He actually takes the time to create new YouTube accounts just to spam the same message. We just keep blocking them, but it shows why I do not allow comments on my personal videos.

  • @Taklens Ok my friend, while you are correct about the lack of support and the buggy code (not so much now, but let's say 8 months ago) you are wrong with your comment about Tribes style games... It can do a lot more than that. It just takes months / years of conforming the engine to your will. Much like making a Half Life mod that turns it into a side scroller. Same principal, you have to conform it to your desired type of game, like with any engine.

  • it runs fine on my mac!

  • I don't know if he'll be picking up where he left off so if anyone else is interested in learning the artist side of Torque's game engine then stop by my page video page.

  • LOL I almost took that seriously :) The engine is just a pile of molding clay. When you make changes and understand coding and torque script then you can make MMORPGs like Ruin Online, RPGs, FPS, RTS, and other things. Torque requires that you take a bit of time to understand how games actually work and a bit of your time (like any other engine).

  • Torque is so freaking expensive...but yet amazing and fun as hell but I didn't buy it(I'm 16 I use money on other things =P) the only thing I work with is XNA and I'm still learning how to code for it.

  • Thanks, this helped alot!

  • iv got the full version

  • lucky you...

ppsssst give me the key for it ^.^

  • It doesn't work like that. It's bound to an account.

And don't be a really cheapass and start asking for passwords.

  • idiot he was joking!

  • I can't tell if someone's joking on the internet. I've actually had serious people ask me for a key to it, and I can't really tell the difference if someone's joking or not.

  • dunno if i should buy this, looks pretty good but its kinda expensive. ive always liked makin games with GM and im kinda good at it. should i get this?

  • no unless you have a passion 4 making video games or u want that to be your career

  • Gamemaker is childs play.

TGEA requires a good understanding of C++.

    Enough said.

  • awesome tutorial thx so much. i didnt no that torque demo was the actual editor. thought it was justa wlakthrough

  • lol same here

  • Great vid! More!

  • thanks for the tutorial it is straight forward yet simple. looking forward to the others.

  • not a bad vid man. i am just a beginner with torque game engine it helped alot
