It's the fourth most spoken language in South Africa. Afrikaans is third. Afrikaans is the language of South Africa. A language defined by the South Africans. Not only by the colonising Dutch but more so by the native inhabitants and later setlers. If anything Afrikaans deserves more than English to be South Africa's sole oficial language.
