    Tight Lines

  • Ta.

  • great vids m8 keep posting , does any body know any good lakes , canals near liverpool to fish thanks ?

  • Cheers buddy.

Have you tried google for fishing in liverpool?

  • Do you think it's suitable that i use 10lb mono for a small lake 6 foot deep with no snags? the carp go up to 28lb and i just wanted to check im not putting risk to the fish.

  • I think its sensible to go for 15lb line minimum really.

Wear and tear and the enourmous strain a big carp can put on line in an instant demands it to be honest mate.

I have used 12lb hooklinks but have found them to be too weak .

  • do you like the new donna kebab pop noodle? i think they are mint

  • good for you bud:) not had a spin with em yet tho!

  • @garyfromtheUK gotta be the bombay bad boy .

  • That lake looks beautiful, i am very jealous you have fished such picturesque lakes! Just a quick question, what strain of line were you using in this situation as there seem to be a fair few lillies and snags around? Thanks, keep posting your wonderful blogs!

  • The line was 15lb braid with a 30lb leader or rig tube depending on the situation.

The lake is not so deep and so a softly softly approach got the carp in remarkably easy.

I did not lose any fish to line breaks or snagged fish in the three years I fished it.

  • Hi mate good vid keep it up.

  • Will do buddy thx.

  • hi bud, i love your vids, you owe me my grass cutting as i sat a watched your vids instead of cutting the grass, just let me know when you can come round an do it for me, lol

    great vids dude

    uk

  • come on Martin!

As you probably know Carpcatcher im a big fan of yours i am (carperguyjames) on carpforum but Martin should of wet his landing mat when he caught that fish at the start it actually burns the fish because it looks like a very hot day so the landing mat will be really hot.

    Please take it into account.

I'm not being a nob lol and haveing a go but just be wary for next time

Thanks mate hope to see your next blog soon.

    bye

  • I understand your comment but the nets wetness was sufficient enough to prevent burning as little wetness as it seems. Anyway i love the bogs and have done for ages now :o) \o catcher.

  • Yer I recall the mat was stashed in the shade with his gear.

But fair point and somthing always to look out for eh.

mind you if you put a carp on a mat now it would instanly stick/frezze to it!

  • well i try cetching grass carp in this pond by my house in florida but i dunno wat to use are all the ponds were u live just like stocked?
